If you are not interested in getting 99 Griffey, sell ALL your L&F cards.
  • DestroyingFlameD DestroyingFlame

Ok so, I am a NMS player, and I noticed as I was going through my L&F collection for TA5, the one where you need 50, I noticed that I had a lot of cards that could be sold, and actually could make decent money for me. Well, it just so happened that I somehow ended up with an even 175,000 stubs while I was thinking about this.

In the span of 15 minutes, I just so happened to make roughly double my stubs total. I had about 393,000 stubs. Give or take 5,000, I don't quite remember. Well now after about 2 hours, all of which what I am about to tell you was done in the first 30 mins of that, I now have 586,000 stubs.

I am shocked. I am still not done. I mostly just sold my golds, silvers, and a few diamonds, one or two of which were worth 40,000 and one worth 100,000. Other than that, everything was golds and silvers.

The point I am trying to make is, sell your cards now, because the market is moving fast. Just wanted to tell you about my success.

They hardly ever come up in the draft. Need to shuffle them in more!

Try sniping the BR cards. Purposely don't take their position of the field and wait till their rarity appears and I'm pretty sure it works a lot of the time. 🙂

  • How accurate is your online record?
  • DestroyingFlameD DestroyingFlame

I think I am at like 73 wins and it is about 38 losses. I don't quit that often, more like never, and I just enjoy the game. If I lose, it is because my opponent is probably better than me, or my Playstation is dumb and disconnects me from my wifi.

  • Just Division series or Postseason?
  • DestroyingFlameD DestroyingFlame

@beatlesnews_psn said in Just Division series or Postseason?:

OK, I acknowledge this is a dumb question. But in the missions in the championship series program, do the total bases and strikeouts count only from the division series players cards or is it anyone in the postseason series that has a card? Thanx.

It is only for the Division Series Postseason cards. I didn't do that however. All I did was the conquest and the moments, which actually didn't take that long, only about 20 min, and then I did the 4 missions with LA, BOS, ATL, and HOU. Then I won 6 games of the postseason event, and that got me to 100. That is what I did.

@whitejw98_psn said in This will sound very controversial...:

The main thing that stuck out in my mind was the title of the post. Is this place really such a toxic dump of negativity that someone can't say anything positive about the game without worrying that it will spark controversy?

There are a few minor things I could nitpick like server issues, time limited inning programs, progression to 99s being a little too fast and of course the complete cluster expletive that was RTTS, but overall I really enjoyed the game. This is the first year I've ever played past early August so I've started to get a little burned out lately, but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth.

True, but I just wanted to take into account that if I didn't really say that, and make it clear that I wanted it to be positive feedback only, it would have turned into a "this game sucks and I absolutely hate it" thread, and I didn't want that 🙂

Any pointers on when to do these?

In maps where you get a Steal 'X' fans goal; do you get this goal out of the way ASAP or do you save it for later?

Do you steal one at a time or do you steal more at a time?

Do you still play this part after you completed any requirements?

All I do is wait till the last stronghold and get them surrounded, then do it.

Ok. Aside from the fact that we all agree that the servers suck, etc. Can we all agree that besides all that stuff this year's game was actually decent?

I know, this is going to probably become a hot topic of intense debate, but I think that, putting those things aside, this year's game was actually great.

At the beginning of the year, you had a free 99 Jackie, (although hard to obtain if you were NMS) and also some quality low level headliner diamonds. I think it was kinda weird that they stopped at 40 Headliner packs, as last year was 50, so I think we were all a little disappointed by that, but still some actually good quality cards that I'm sure some people still have in their lineups today.

The bosses ramped up in their OVRs pretty quickly, quicker than last year, but the bosses were great. Yes, I know, we are all still waiting for 99 Griffey, (as of the time of this post) but other than that, I think we have checked off the boxes for most of the diamonds that everyone was waiting for.

The collections this year, I mean the Legends and Flashbacks collections, were really good. When we looked at the calendar in like late August (?) and it said that there was already a big collection coming out, we were all probably caught off guard. "How could there already be a huge collection!!" It ended up being 99 Rivera. Then you had Mookie. Now we have Kershaw. I think they are done adding new big collection rewards to the Legends and Flashbacks. The All-Star collection was awesome. I personally haven't used 99 Ohtani, but I couldn't hit well against him online.

The Live Series collection to me was just the same as it always is, so nothing special to cover there.

Team Affinity this year was great, in my opinion. All 4 TAs so far have been good, with the rewards being pretty decent. I know TA 5 is coming, so yay. Make sure you stock up on all those golds and silvers, maybe even a few bronzes, my friends.

Even the Postseason Program has been good. High level cards, that could actually be used in a RS game or something. As of right now, the World Series is tied 1-1. (Sorry if I just accidentally spoiled it for anyone who didn't know that) I think it will be a great series.

This is my opinion about the major content that has happened so far this year. I'm sure I missed a few major content updates or something, but this is just off the top of my head.

Tell me what you think 🙂

Don Larsen through a Perfect Game for the Yankees; how can Garcia hold the record with 5 2/3 innings?

That's a perfect game bid. Not a no-hitter bid. Yes, they are both sort of the same thing, but they are put into different categories.

Okay, how about Michael Wacha, 7.1 innings

ok IDK, that's just what FOX said.

You could be right. I forgot Wacha did it for the Cardinals. If we are not counting Larsen due to the fact it was a World Series game before they had playoffs. I think he might have the AL rookie record.

    Probably what they meant. 🙂

Hi all, so the wild card program was 75 points and 4 cards. The Division series was 100 points and 8 cards, what do you think the LCS will be? Anybody who has played before remember how they did it in the past?

I honestly hope the LCS and World Series are at least comparable to the DS, if not bigger.

Also. Who gets a card other than the obvious Yordan Alvarez (that card is going to smash).

Well I mean there were only 4 teams in the wild card and it was 75 points, so I would think that since there are only 4 teams left (now 3 as of writing this), it would be 75 points as well. The only way I could see them going to/over 100 points is if they want to hand out a lot of postseason cards and space them out, and there might not be enough room to do that in a 75 points program.

I think that Luis Garcia will get a card. He now holds the AL record for the longest No-Hitter bid in AL Postseason history. (5 and 2/3 innings)
I can't think of anyone else, but I also forgot how they did it the last 2 years.

Has anyone been having good luck with him? He's been absolutely dominant for me in previous years but is getting SHELLED so far through 6-7 starts. I would hate to give up on him because he's one of my favorite Show guys (and a g*d dang war hero)....any positive experiences out there?

Ok, I am a Bob Feller lover. I just know how to pitch with him. I see these other comments, and they all make valid points, but at the same time, maybe you (or the opponent you are facing using Bob Feller) are becoming predicable, and therefore get rocked. If you spam his curveball, probably not a good idea, because if you start with a curveball, most people probably think, ok fastball is coming next. Try throwing a changeup. Looks like fastball, usually way early swing and miss. If at all possible, try to avoid using the curveball until at least the 4th inning. When you use it, your opponent will be surprised. It is also all about finding your opponents' weakness very quickly, and playing off of that. Personally, I think he is one of the best cards in the game, even if you think his control rating is bad. You just need to know what to do. I think you should give him another try, and if you don't currently do any of these things with him, try them out, and see how it goes.
