Bob Feller

Has anyone been having good luck with him? He's been absolutely dominant for me in previous years but is getting SHELLED so far through 6-7 starts. I would hate to give up on him because he's one of my favorite Show guys (and a g*d dang war hero)....any positive experiences out there?

he's been a top 5 pitcher for me

Feller is only pitcher with outlier that I hit consistently. He's so easy to read, he comes right over the top. But I also have success with him too. He's speed differential is killer.
-
His offspeed is easy to read and his sinker is flat. He’ll suck against anyone who can hit outlier
-
I found him easier to read this year but that FB is still good if your sitting off speed. I feel however is breaking pitches are always in the dirt and big looping breaks. Not a sharp break so those I feel are easier to read. With him sit fast and it’s easier to react to the off speed.

Ok, I am a Bob Feller lover. I just know how to pitch with him. I see these other comments, and they all make valid points, but at the same time, maybe you (or the opponent you are facing using Bob Feller) are becoming predicable, and therefore get rocked. If you spam his curveball, probably not a good idea, because if you start with a curveball, most people probably think, ok fastball is coming next. Try throwing a changeup. Looks like fastball, usually way early swing and miss. If at all possible, try to avoid using the curveball until at least the 4th inning. When you use it, your opponent will be surprised. It is also all about finding your opponents' weakness very quickly, and playing off of that. Personally, I think he is one of the best cards in the game, even if you think his control rating is bad. You just need to know what to do. I think you should give him another try, and if you don't currently do any of these things with him, try them out, and see how it goes.

Like most outlier pitchers, if you don’t spam the high and tight fastball all game and pitch backwards he’s great.
