You dont understand how much offline play makes us so much worse at the game when we get back online. Thats a real gameplay complaint. You cannot compare even hall of fame vs the cpu to all star online. Its night and day.

Ive see you complain about it every week since the game came out including the previous comment you made in this thread. Did you think you were signed in on the burner or something?

Konami hasn’t been good in a very long time but it is annoying they have pitchers with more than 5 pitches and SDS still can’t count that high.

I like the hard missions and am halfway through finishing them - but I dont think their value is very high. (I dont even think it has good value if youre an elite player - let alone if youre average)

The majority of players that have them finished would have finished them on accident without knowing a program was out. 5 wins and PXP is something they do hourly. You can make 75k by other means, but this is the first time online players have got 75k for playing the game. It’s as much value as a WS reward… for 5 wins…

I haven’t got 75k from a single conquest or mini season all year and this is just as fast and 10000000000x more enjoyable.

It’s this and it will always be this. This game has a decade old match making system that wasn’t good to begin with. When I play BR for missions I just lose the first game on purpose and I know I get 5 terrible players on a row. Then I redraft and do the same thing. Why bother going for a 3.5k LS card when I can manipulate the match making in my favour every time

I don't get upset when people complain. Getting upset over a video game is never worth it to me. I'm not trying to be disingenuous. Just using an extreme example to make a point. The idea of "playing your way" is basically impossible, because there is always going to be someone out there who doesn't want to do something that is required to earn some rewards.

The idea of “play your way” isn’t impossible, they just provided you with the solution which was implemented into this game for nearly a decade, then you doubled down on your disingenuous redundancies.

Nobody has ever said I want to get everything for doing nothing but stealing bases or only playing one daily mission. The complaint is always the exact. Don’t FORCE ONLINE or OFFLINE, give options for both. Whatever the option is works fine. You’re either too dumb to understand this yet complain about it every possible moment, or constantly disingenuous. It can’t be both.

I think the complaints about nothing to do slowed down when they started adding more regular conquests and mini seasons (and DQ). It was the period in between New Threads and Cityscapes where there was little new content for a month.

Not having offline content sync up with inning drops as well as lack of TA is still an issue though.

Showdown should be changed and have a leaderboard with a high score and reward tiers given out weekly sort of like challenge of the week. In its current state nobody enjoys it but it could be a really fun arcade like mode.

Every time I finish I wonder how many runs I could get but I only get to swing like 3-4 times and it’s over. It would be fun to try and score 50 for a 20 pack or 100 for a 50 pack. Literally anything would make it more fun.

Headliners used to be the only pack for the fiends to buy. Now they have so many packs to buy they run out of stubs before they get to the headliners.

It monitors everyone’s inventory every second of everyday. Same with the packs. Tens of millions of variables are all being simultaneously measured against one another at SDS headquarters. They aren’t bad devs, they are leading the tech industry and use it to predetermine your reward packs.

This is easily the second worst. It isn't forced hate. The MLB the show with rampant cheaters, the worst content, the highest gatekeepers, the worst servers and broken menus is the second worst ever. Easily.

The game has grown stale, and it isn't stale because of SDS failing to find some magic arcade theme to add to DD mode.

It is stale because the graphics and gameplay has remained stagnant for years and this year according to many reports has actually reverted in MLB 26. When play outcomes are ruled in ways totally alien to the video presentation it robs customers of desire to play the game. This sort of thing only needs to happen a few times before the customer just concludes the game is junk and moves on from it.

I'll add this more personal note. I explained to SDS two years back that customization of the game experience is the best way to retain customer interest in the game. Nothing promotes enthusiasm to play than customers seeing their own creations in the game environment.

And of course MLB The Show has custom uniforms, logos, and stadiums as an option. SDS lost their way when they came to regard these three modes as unworthy of continual upgrades. They have also lost the message when they force customers to redo those customized options when a new release is made. Yes, if that is due to significant upgrades to the game, then customers can accept that as a reasonable tradeoff, but not when there are zero upgrades at all and the forced redo seems entirely malicious in nature.

SDS is earning what they are experiencing. I seriously doubt anyone feels sorry for them. I certainly do not!

At some point, you're playing a zero-sum game here. The whole point of this mode is that a bunch of cards are rare - and the way theyre made rare is they are difficult to obtain.

If they get less rare in packs, they get more rare with stub cost.

I think most people kinda know this, but theres a few who dont quite put it together. Also, there's no comparison with madden or any other sports games - those are WAY worse in terms of trying to be NMS

It’s not 2020 anymore they are as bad as any other game when it comes to being NMS. Anyone that says otherwise is a 600 level player Larping being a WS player, or a 6000 hour 60,000 market transaction player trying to cope for spending half his life flipping.

People don’t care about the value of the card. They wanna use the card. Most people understand this but some just can’t put it all together. They don’t tie self worth to the in game stub count they’ve amassed. They literally just wanna use cards lmao.

Also less rare in packs = more rare in stubs sound so funny. You actually think you understand it all.
