I've looked online all over and it seems like there's no way when I restart RTTS to just choose a brand new set of 3 pitches? I have to gradually replace the ones from my last save when they come up? Its not a dealbreaker if thats the case but it is tedious, and I'd like to get a screwball and its gonna be hard to find a teammate that can teach me a screwball.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ that would be an L. I think it's Mantle, Pedro and Ruth. If Puckett is one of the choices between Pedro and Ruth only Twins fans would pick him. If on the other hand it's Mantle. I can see 33% of players will pick one of the 3 choices evenly.
It won't be Mantle since they wouldn't put 2 Yankees inside 1 program.

Kirby Puckett is another common guess i've seen so far

Just moved to a new place, hooked up my PS4 and have been getting challenge failed every single time i try to queue (have tried BR, Events, RS) but everything else works fine. Is the challenge failed issue back again or is it just me? And any suggestions on how to fix it?

Shippett on HOF rn feels like rookie on coors. It’s truly insane how everything leaves in that stadium. PCIs seem massive right now as well. Must just be really good cards playing as they should but it feels off.
Also to comment on the actual topic, I am currently in a 10-10 tie game at shippett on all star after 8 innings....

I don’t see much skill involved in HOF. It’s literally swing and pray unless somebody is throw less than 98. Just my opinion tho. Kudos to whoever enjoys that. We move back down hope some of y’all catch these wins while I do.
That's kinda the point though...it creates a skill gap between the players that just swing and pray and those that actually know how to hit at that difficulty. I quite like that it is difficult.

Right now I'm still using 87 POTM Sanchez from the classics pack, but he's not really living up to the job, so I'm curious to know who you've had success with.
I know CAP is a good option but I have him in CF right now and I really don't want to move him, and Posey I could take at Diamond 1 but i'm only at Gold 30 so it'd be a little while.
Suggestions? Reviews on Torre, Kendall, Wieters, etc?

@ItsAllGoodMn_89 said in This game would be more fun if SDS removed sinkers from the game:
Maybe you should practice reading and hitting the sinker. The outcome will come out better for you.
I recognize that the pitch is hittable if you sit on it, but don't you think it sucks that you have to concentrate everything to be able to hit a pitch that is unrealistic to have so much break high in the strike zone?
-
So obviously some pitches are better than others in different locations, counts, situations, etc. If i want a ground ball throw a splitter/changeup, slider away is good strikeout pitch vs RHB...but it feels like sinkers are just automatically the best pitch in the game. Someone could throw a sinker 100% of their pitches and I would probably lose. And I'm not some scrub either, I can make DS/CS consistently, and especially on HOF pitch speeds, a high sinker looks like a 110 mph curveball, it's ridiculous. And to make it worse, SDS for some reason decided to give almost every pitcher they release a sinker. Really SDS?
And yes, I am writing this after losing a game to a guy who pitched blood diamond Oswalt and spammed high sinkers, and if I ever tried sitting on high sinkers, you have to swing so early that he mixed in a few curveballs and I was kinda screwed.
So I go back to my title: do other people feel the same way as me that sinkers kinda ruin the game experience? Like there are other pitches that are difficult to hit, but their realistic, but a sinker just feels unrealistic...
EDIT: I just want to clarify that I'm not saying remove sinkers from the game because I dislike the pitch, that would be unrealistic; I'm saying that playing this game would be more fun if sinkers were banned because its a BROKEN pitch, particularly when thrown high in the strike zone, and clearly SDS seem to have no intention to fix it. It's kinda gotten to a point where every pitcher I face throws a sinker, and most people spam sinkers high in the zone, and I'm kind of sick of it because its so broken.

Yeah asking for reviews 4 hours after release is definitely gonna get you some solid opinions.
"OMG 7 for 10 with Mike Schmidt he's a cheat code overpowered glitch"
"0 for 10 so far terrible swing low exit velos no pop""one start complete game 20 K's and he even hit a homer"
"pitched 2 innings gave up 7 runs...terrible no control"You want stuff like that?
-
He hit 101 last year with his fastball, I wouldn't be surprised if they give it to him. Would sure spice up the card.
-
Also in response to the OP's question: Jim Palmer, George Brett, Al Leiter, John Smoltz, AJ Burnett, Mike Schmidt (the NL East looks like by far the best division in terms of cards), Andre Dawson, Kerry Wood, Eric Davis, Juan Marichal, and Orel Herchiser all look really good to me. That's 11 out of 30. Sure, that's not "Insane", but that's 11 cards that I wanna get that are free.

@seannydrama7 said in WHO ELSE?????:
It’s weird. I’m disappointed, but can’t help but think it’s partially because of how corny the cards look. I mean, look at some of the names and stats out there: Brett, Dawson, Kilabrew, Smoltz, Gwynn - those are some big names with solid attributes...but I’m with you, kinda let down. You just kinda know NONE of these guys will be on end-game rosters (maybe a few will be bench bats or 5th in rotation)...and at this point in the season, I think people are waiting for cards with end game potential.
At "this point in the season"...since when did halfway through the season constitute all the best cards dropping? We have 4 months before baseball season ends and then another 4 months of filler content where SDS continues to release cards until The Show 21.
See here's the problem: If SDS drop all the god tier cards now then everyone complains in December/January when every single card they release is way worse than the cards in their lineup...so which do you want?
-
Hmm, okay, so it makes me wonder if it's a valid market investment to buy these guys up when they come out, and then sell them for much more later.
-
So after winning an RS game, the post-game rewards screen comes up and there's this choice pack of 1 of 3 players. One is the 84 Griffey Sr, another is 83 Bedrosian, and I don't remember who the last player was. I took Griffey Sr. because he's selling for 10k. But where did this pack come from and why does Griffey sell for 10k?
-
Don't get me wrong, there are definitely times when I feel screwed over by the game, but 90% of the time, if i lose i know i deserved to lose, because my opponent was clearly better than me, and when I win, i was better than my opponent.

Assuming you've taken Hal and Kluber as your first two, he's the obvious next pick. McCovey isn't really anything special for a 1B and there's plenty of other speedy outfielders you can get if you want someone like Rickey. Fingers is really the only elite reliever in the game right now, with Wagner Gagne and Smoltz being the next best options.
