People take power too seriously imo. A lot of them think there is some magic threshold at 80 but the top dot at the center PCI switches at 65 power so anything over 65 can be useful. People don't take power too seriously. You are not hitting a dead center home run with a 65 power card no matter what kind of swing you take 90 percent of the time. They will just fly out right before the warning track. The only saving grace is a created small park will get out. If a card has mid 80's power, then it will depend if they are a pull balanced or push hitter on what they get for power. Over a hundred takes the guess work out of it.

I think you are missing the point. Everything in this game is based of stub ratio. The stub to time ratio is very small. They are also giving way less packs because there are no team aff packs this year. When more people start wanting to do collections then the price of the players are going to inflate and they have never really shown they can correct this in a quick manner. Flipping is dang near impossible this year so far ( should get better tonight tho). I think they should be giving way more packs in the required modes so the market doesn't inflate to near impossibilities for NMS and drives them away from the game. I am no money spent but i understand how to work the market and can make stubs reasonably quick even in the tight margins of today. Most people can't.

They will give Ray a sinker. You want a 1B with max power see the rest of them

Doesn't matter if they give him a sinker. He doesn't throw hard enough and won't have a cutter. I would rather they give him a cutter and instead of replacing the two seam with a sinker.

so far it's just fodder for collections. Obviously that doesn't mean people won't like a card of team that is their favorite. The maddox and gibson cards have a chance to be meta picks.

Vision means almost nothing it's the high contact you want for a bigger PCI

This is what I was gonna say. If you have any half decent PCI placement, vision doesn’t do much

devs have said high vision improves timing windows over lower vision.

devs have no idea how the hitting engine plays.. They say that to cover the unpredicable nature of what a ball will do with the same swings and pci placement.

Well, considering it's coming to the time of the year where I can only play on Saturdays and a few hours on Sunday.

I was planning on spending the whole day playing Saturday; but I guess once I hit that 35K, I'll play a different game.

So, what I'm looking at right now is if I can only get 35-70K a weekend, I'll be lucky if I hit 350K before the program is over.

I may hit it if there's a Double XP timeframe, or if I can complete some Programs/Conquest. The first time I don't hit the Boss Pack will the the last time I play this game.

But this is a crappy thing to throw on us right now.

So instead of banning people that abuse these methods, which SHOULD be considered cheating; they're going to 'punish' the community as a whole.

Probably not a good business decision with new games coming out soon and there stu being issues with servers.

I can tell you this: whether or not I finish playing this year; this will be my FIRST and LAST year playing this game.

Such a shame that a bunch of virgins who live in their parents' basements and have nothing better to do than to abuse game mechanics can ruin something for a while community.

It's not cheating. The walk method isn't cheating and they took the lazy way out instead of patching the walk method. This is on the devs. I don't do the walk method either as that is a huge waste of time.

For them to do it this way, they need to release the xp gains earlier instead of waiting til the last week to cram as much as they can.

Yeah the xp thing is a weird one. I play the every day and unless i do one of the glitches then i never finish the program. I don't get why they don't reward playing the game itself more so people don't sit in walking simulators for 8 hours to finish it.

Yeah i don't get the record envy on this site. I will quit out if I am playing at a crappy stadium because i only have time for one game and don't want to waste it in a lagfest. I quit of 5 in a row yesterday because of stadium issues. My record suffers because of that.

Quitting that much only makes moving up the ranks that much harder. What’s the point of playing an RS game if you’re going to quit just because of a stadium. Just perplexed not being judgmental.

I have time for one game most of the time and don't want to play in a laggy crappy stadium. I don't really care about making world series past the first couple of seasons and have enough stubs to do what i want by this time in the game cycle. When i play a 9 inning game, I want the game to be as fun as it possibly can and most stadiums just can't achieve that.

Well don’t for get that the all star game Joey Gallo from this year is now a clean shaven live series looking one. Like really sds come one.

And Tatis Jr got Lf and Rf secondary added to his card like the day after he played one game in the OF lol.

He's the coverboy and one of the most popular players of today. The pujols is a placeholder card to give more pujols cards in the game for some reason. It also gives us the 2nd half card because they really over priced the collections so they have to basically give us one or more of each set every release.

As someone whose interest in the game is beginning to wane a little, this does nothing to entice me to keep playing. Even if I can afford to buy them all off the market next month that seems like an very unsatisfying way to obtain them.

They can only give so many rewards that way or it won't encourage people to play the modes that makes them the money. Offline grinding doesn't really do that. Obviously they will give a way to get cards for a percentage of it. I personally think they should give the offline cards a way to get them by playing online because most of the player base are online players. I hate having to grind moments or showdowns for cards instead of missions in rs or events. It should be easier to get the cards by doing the offline grind but still possible to get them by online.

He won them because he would get an out on his flashy jump throw a few times a season essentially brainwashing people he was an outstanding defender before we could easily go onto any stats website and see he clearly wasn't.

Also, back to the other guy that mentioned Rafael Palmeiro winning in '99 after only playing 28 games at 1B or Yadier Molina losing to Russell Martin because Martin had a better offensive season.

The biggest problem is coaches and manager voting accounts for 60-70% of the formula that determines the GG winners. It should be solely decided on defensive stats. I know that is a crazy thought, why would the best defensive player at said position win a GG?

I guess they didn't want to give it to Omar every year back then and had to give him something considering he would never win MVP because he just wasn't that type of player. Technically i guess omar was probably with the giants by the time jeter was winning the gg's. Palmero winning in that few games and jeter winning any was the donwfall of that award for me.

yeah jeter is about money and would cost a ton for them to get. BTW he would suck in this game. He was a contact hitter and a poor defender with not much speed. He wouldn't be good.

Arguably one of the greatest, and most clutch hitters of all time wouldn't be good in this game? They dish out 99's like hot cakes, if they had a Sig Jeter it would be a top 3 SS in this game. 120's contact, 90's power, 80/90's fielding and probably low to mid 80's speed.

Also, he won 5 GG's and stole 400 bases in his career....way to prove to everyone you know absolutely nothing about baseball.

They would have to juice it to make it that good. No way a realistic jeter has 80's power as a sig card. His defense was never 80's level either. He should have moved to second when alex came to town because he was the better ss. His speed will be in the low to mid 80's which will be good. His contact of course will be 115 to 125. A realistic jeter would be

120 con r and L
65 to 75 pow r and L
82 to 85 speed
72 to 75 def
70 to 75 arm
125 clutch(doesn't matter in online play)
85 reaction

He was a stat compiler who would have been less known than biggio if he played in a different city. He was a great player don't get me wrong but not near as great as people like to hype him up to be and his skill set wouldn't translate to this game.

Sorry dude, if they are giving Sig Justin Turner 88/92 power…..Jeter is getting in that ballpark. Especially considering Jeter was a far better XB hitter than Turner. I’ll agree with defense being in the high 70’s maybe low 80’s.

Nah,, Turner has more consistent 25+ homers to get low mid 80's power. I think a silver slugger jeter card would be his best or i guess maybe an all star card from 99 would be the only cards that would be usable by people that aren't super fans. I think the 99 year would be a card that could dip into the 90's for power with obvious 120 + contact. A sig card would really have to be juiced for name value to be usable. I think it would be around what biggio's card is with worse defense and speed and not near the versatility.
