i switched from a vizio 32" 1080 tv with game mode to a asus 1ms monitor. cant tell much difference at all. everything feels about the same to be honest

Yeah that is basically what I'm weighing. Is it worth getting a nice enough monitor that may or may not be able to keep up with a PS5 or just spend a little more and get a nice new TV with game mode that would be an upgrade over my current setup and a lot more functional than a monitor, albeit with a little higher input lag.

Appreciate all the responses and input. And thanks for the clarification on input lag. After researching quite a bit more, I'm having trouble finding anything with the input lag for that model but should help guide my search. Thanks!

So I've been looking into getting a monitor for a while now and am interested in a 4K monitor so that I can enjoy now and still use when PS5 comes out. I have looked at a lot of monitors and found one that might be decent for a good price as 4K goes ($349).

It's 4 ms response time and I've heard 1 ms is optimal so how much of a difference would this actually be? I currently play on a 2013 55" LG 4K tv so I think anything would be an upgrade and I'm looking for a monitor that will last for next gen but also not cost a fortune. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I personally wouldn’t buy a 1080p monitor with the consoles going 4k next gen. Even if you don’t plan on buying a ps5 at launch I’d still get a 4k monitor because it’s going to last you years.

Any recommendations on a 4K monitor?

  • 4K monitor?
  • BRost09_PSNB BRost09_PSN

Anyone have a 4K monitor they like that will perform well with the PS5? I want to get a monitor to use now but one that will still be optimal for PS5. Trying to do some research on them but admittedly I'm not a tech guy.

Anyone have suggestions on a decent monitor or what to look for in a good one? From searching amazon and best buy, I think I'd be looking in the $200-$300 range but would be open to higher or lower.

Been wondering the same thing. I play on a 55 inch tv and feel like theres a ton of input lag when I play online even on game mode.
