Do these REALLY make THAT much a difference? I feel like all my opponents that I play online have one. They can catch up to my fastball, AND be able to watch the outside the strike zone. Also be able to hit the off speed stuff too.

But I'm playing on a regular 40 inch screen and I have the HARDEST time hitting fastballs and laying off of pitches outside the zone!!

Been wondering the same thing. I play on a 55 inch tv and feel like theres a ton of input lag when I play online even on game mode.

I used to play on my 50" Samsung 4K TV. I switched to a 28" Samsung 4k monitor and it made a HUGE difference. It is 100% advantageous.

It does make a difference but it won't make you elite just because you play on a monitor. The difference is slightly noticeable, most of the reaction time is still coming from you and not the hardware.

Switch your TV to game mode if you haven't already. If you're still struggling and want to get better, a monitor will definitely help.

Also switch to strike zone camera when hitting and that will also help you identify and lay off pitches out of the zone

Anyone have suggestions on a decent monitor or what to look for in a good one? From searching amazon and best buy, I think I'd be looking in the $200-$300 range but would be open to higher or lower.

Here's a link if you're interested. Its probably one of the better prices you'll see for monitors

I just picked up this ASUS today..should have it by the end of the week. Been playing since 2017 and am finally making the switch..

Hopefully I paid a reasonable price for it. I’m not very savvy on tech items.

    ASUS VX248H 24" FHD 1920 x 1080 Gaming Monitor, 60 Hz 1ms Response Time (GTG), Flicker Free, Built-in Speakers

Do you plan on getting a ps5 at launch or soon after? Do you plan on watching a lot of video? If so get a 4k monitor, it’s gonna cost you more then a 1080p one will but it will be worth it when next gen is all 4k and you don’t need to upgrade it for years.

This is the exact one I have. I believe I paid around $140 for it on sale a couple years ago and it has been worth every penny

Well.. I dont know what to do. I feel like if I'm not looking to swing at a fast ball AS SOON as it leaves the pitchers hand I cant catch up to it. Then, im so geared up to hitting the fastball if my opponent throws a low slider I'm toast. I've been playing this game for years and I feel like I'm probably a 6 out of 10 in how good I am at it lol. OTHER than hitting the fastball
