For a game that is supposed to simulate baseball, it doesn't do a very good job of simulating baseball. When you're "very early" on a low and outside pitch, you "reached" for a "pitchers pitch" and should hit a weak grounder to one of the infielders. Instead, this game allows you to foul off pitch after pitch after pitch. Chance after chance after chance.
It's incredibly frustrating to have to make 8+ pitches an at bat when your opponent should have been out on the first one (and the second, and the third, ...).

I finished the 3 Negro League players I did not do earlier ( did Gibson 1st) I want to say I got around 1200 XP for each player so an ok amount but nothing great

I’ve grinded the events using the incognito series cards, future star cards and captain cards when I could to grind out their stats or PXP missions

if I played conquest, I would also use future stars, incognito or captain cards.

I believe I have 5 or 6 captain cards left to complete missions with and from there I may bite the bullet and start a mini season. But building incognito and team XP in events has helped me

Obviously the the moments, conquests, and showdowns take time as well but as others have stated, Team Affinity isn’t meant to be a quick grind. You have well over a month left of time to complete it

Not to be rude but do yall not score double digit runs in moonshot?? Like about 70% of all moonshot games I've played in the last 3 years have ended in double digit scoring.

Also to add while pitching is just so frustrating sometimes, this is the most fun I've had in an MLB the Show game yet in my 3 years playing. So I'm super curious about how people aren't even slightly enjoying 23 so far.

All my team affinity is 100% across the board. I dealt with very minimal bugs other than visual stuff or stamina bugs in pitchers. Otherwise went smooth as silk
