Showdown is the cheapest.
Unless you include the cost of a few smashed controllers due to frustration -
I went to final boss needing 8 runs. I lost. All my plate disciple went out the window so only my self to blame. It did seem easy, but I just butchered it. I did get 5 outs on some BS (imo) fly outs, but that's life.
However, now on my fifth attempt and I am getting no where near it.
I'm finishing this [censored] thing today, I don't care if it costs me 10k stubs and a divorce; I won't let it beat me. -
Look, I hate to be "that guy" but these were the easiest things to do so far in this game. And this is coming from a guy who has took 28 attempts to complete the second inning showdown, and 30+ attempts on other showdowns to only complete three others.

Sorry, another showdown post.
Just lost another one (AL Stage 2, final boss) - all my fault. I came in needing 10 runs at 6-15. I was disciplined, in fact I was even good. Got to 13-15 with 14 outs remaining after a Gallo grand slam. Clarke Schmidt was up to around 65 pitches. I thought "I should take a break, come back to it". Then "Nah dude, you on a roll, keep going baby!!!". But I tensed up. Even with 14 outs remaining, I was already starting to fear failure. Once the fear gets you, you're done. I only got one more hit and that was erased on a double play.Even with all the magic CPU fielding, and dotting the black etc; every loss comes down to the dude holding the controller. Those who beat these things constantly are not only technically good, but they stay 'zen' throughout it. I can only do that for a limited time.
I'm limiting myself to only two or three showdown attempts a day lately. I'll try again tomorrow.

Had to read the subject and first sentence a few times, but it made sense once I remembered you Americans spell cheque wrong

I don't understand. Explain more?
What does "won't allow me to get outs" mean? -
Starting my 9th attempt. Lord help me.

When the Dems lost this next election, I reckon they will blame SDS this time instead of Russia.

It's a shame dumbasses send messages like that, as it makes a lot of folk turn off their messages.
I actually sometimes like having a chat with my opponent, usually after the game or after a big play. I'm always friendly, and they respond in kind; or don't respond at all and that's cool too. Got some good tips once from a dude who was owning me. -
It was annoying that you couldn't get to the moments via the Monthly awards path page. Well not annoying, just strange and initially confusing for a doofus like me.
Took some grind but the moments are very do-able. There is nothing worse than only needing on more out to finish off the 6th and final inning of the moment, only for some MFer to hit a bomb; so now you got to start all over again. -
Boss1 – Down 1-0, 12 outs, 8 batter on 2nd, face Gallen or Lynn
Boss2 – Tied 0-0, 9 outs, no one on, face Hendricks or Gallegos
Boss3 – Down 1-0, 10 outs, 8 batter on 1st, face D Williams or Anderson
Boss4 – Down 3-0, 15 outs, 8 batter on 3rd, face Bauer or Darvish
Fina l Boss – Down (or tied) 20-x, no one on, face DeGrom or Bieber (though so far I have only ever faced DeGrom)All mini bosses are worth 5 runs.
All pitchers are righties. -
I saw Trout this year, but didn't get him.

1st Inning showdown took me 2 goes; 2nd Inning showdown took me something like 38 attempts.
I really hope 3rd Inning showdown for me is more like 1st Inning. That’s funny because the second one was super easy for me but I never got past the first one.
Those bases loaded ones normally get me.
"This should be easy, just don't have stupid swings"

I got him through TA pretty quickly. Could not resist the 200k+ stubs on offer so sold him. Now .... regrets.

I've gone through quite a few MTOs so far this year, but lately it has felt different. This week I have just finished Mariners regular season and today just started an Angels campaign.
The end of the Mariners season was a slog; literally playing every second game for the last month. I couldn't believe it, but put it down to being a close division race (I started strong, but muffed the second half).
Now, doing the Angels, I've been battling away for close to an hour - only losing one game, but it is still April!!!!!!!!! It just seems they are making us play more games, even though the patch notes said nothing about this. I hate posts where one or two experiences end up with a "have you noticed this" post ... but has anyone else noticed this? -
I got first inning on second try.
Currently on my 9th try at this one. -
I just lost a 12 inning game against the Cardinals ... on Veteran mode! Unbelievable. 1-1 after the first, and then it stayed that way until an error allowed a run in for them in the 12th.
What's your longest (and perhaps most heartbreaking) "3 inning" conquest game? -
It's not my favourite, but I want to bring it to peoples attention. It's a documentary from 2016 called Fastball. I noticed it on Amazon Prime (at least the Aussie version) a while ago but assumed it was one of those cheapo lame documentaries that Amazon is full of so didn't plan on watching it.
But I finally watched it recently and was surprised how much I liked it.
It's not great, but is worth a watch in my opinion.
Am I the only one hating the game this year?
