@Dolenz_PSN I played the "Spooky" program in '24 under a different name and it irked me that the only way to win was to do a showdown. Which I have lots of trouble with. I tried several times and was unsuccessful. I hope if they do one this year they don't do that again.

And I don't have either arthritis in my hands or tendinitis, but I am over 70 and I just don't have the ability to play online (after getting shellacked in past years), so I don't. If I could compete, though, I would. Congrats to you, my friend. I wish MLBTS would be a little more accommodating to those of us a little older. Maybe I'm asking too much, though. (And I'm sure I'll hear it in response to this.)

I don't play either mode, but I've seen YouTube game videos with Bonds in them.

I remember the throw (zone) settings from MLBTR 22. And I used the target settings last year in the storylines for a couple of those moments. But are these absolute to the game or depending on your settings? And what's the advantage of using them as opposed to not using them? I'm guessing it's connected to your accuracy, like pinpoint vs. not using pinpoint is.

Certainly, I understand their choice as to why, in quickening up the game.

Agreed. It's also a bit more realistic. I've been caught leaving a pitcher in too long a couple of times. Sometimes you pay, sometimes you don't. But I was surprised this changed this. In the turn to adding things that make things more realistic, they took one small step backwards.

True, but I get why, as a DD-thing, they make them unlockables … To make this thing easier for you. In the last few years they were not that expensive at all. There were more stadium-packs to get. Maybe that‘ll change again to make it easier to get (or you gotta use your stubs to buy them earlier).

When I last played in MLBTS 22, the stadiums, especially the minor league ones, were flooded. But still, I think the classic stadiums need to be a part of the game from the beginning. Not to mention adding a few more, like Candlestick and Ebbets Field (Candlestick is available in Stadium Creator).

Thanks. That's what I suspected. I think I'll end up getting the pre-order for the cards and the double login.

I got about 75 percent of the cards, but I didn't come in until PS Plus made it available. I think I did pretty well.

I didn't get to watch any of the hour-plus Gameplay Preview for MLBTS 25 until last night and it was then I found out Twitch Drops were in play.

Does watching the Twitch or Discord replays get you the Twitch Drops?

That's my "tin foil hat" post for 25. They announced Manny and Clemens relatively early. So... I'm hoping for some big names to come.

I was surprised they announced Clemens so soon. If I was in charge, I would have just announced Manny and saved Clemens for the climax. Which means whoever they're keeping quiet is a biggie. I'm guessing one of them won't be Nomar since they already announced two Red Sox players, though I'd love that (just don't make him a Dodger).

Much as I as a Giants fan hate to say it, but Barry Bonds has to be the Giants rep. Would love Tim to be there, of course, but Barry was committed to the Giants. Two reasons were his dad, Bobby Bonds, and his godfather, Willie Mays.

I totally get it. Me personally, I didn't really have a favorite for Pittsburgh - apologies to all the Andy Van Slyke fans - so figured I could use Bonds there to free up the SF slot.

Think it's either going to be him or A-Rod getting revealed at the end of the Legends trailer in a few weeks.

I thank him every day for throwing that pitch to Will Clark that Clark hit at Candlestick that year, too. I tried to heckle him at 'The Stick the next season and his response said he didn't like it.

I doubt they would remove the option to make a female player in RTTS. It would also not surprise me to see the likes of Toni Stone return as a flashback or something.

Those are the reasons, plus as a somewhat casual player, I can play solo rookie, relax and have a good time knowing my chances of winning are really really good. On the other hand, though, playing on rookie and at Costco got me really lazy. I'm trying to work out of that by playing most games veteran now so I can get a little better before '25 comes in.
