Yes, it does have its flaws, but at the end of the day the same people are at the top of the leaderboards. I think that SDS gave us what we asked for in one particular aspect, and that is in skill differentiation.

The good players still win more than they lose, but those who aren't as skilled as they thought they were are struggling, myself included.

Do I think some things need to tuned? Why, yes, but at the core of it is the fact that SDS has made the skill gap a wider divide between those who can and those who can't.

I know I'll get roasted for this particular take and that is fine. I'm not enjoying the game at the moment because I don't think I'm skilled enough to play well enough right now.

I think it may be time for some people, like myself, to have a good look at their skill level and stop blaming everything on the core gameplay. Weird fielding glitches aside, the game has solid potential.

Itt, people who thought they were good and with the introduction of an actual skill gap, realised they weren't but can't accept it.

Pitching needs tuning and fielding needs fixing. That is all.

That is coming from me, a subpar player. A couple of people on this forum need serious therapy.

I had a game go 13 innings on rookie. I was smashing pitches, but they weren't going anywhere past the warning track. I was ready to throw my controller through the tv.

I guess in the 13th the game decided I could hit home runs again.

It was the weirdest and most unsatisfying experience ever playing the show.

Cue idiots who want to have a go about needing 13 innings to beat the cpu on rookie. To make it worse, it was the Tigers. Lol

When SDS listen to people like the OP, we get the $hitshow of the last couple of years.

Honestly, and this just a hunch, I think they will introduce award cards for each team.

If you had watched the stream, you would know that they did, in fact, scan a large number of the minor league players. Somewhere around the one hundred plus mark, if I remember correctly. They even showed a few off.

They don't need to make hitting a one size fits all proposition. They need to remove the rng, particularly in pitching to make the game balanced again.

I have a son who is autistic. Not a particularly funny reference, especially since he wouldn't carry on like either of the ones I have on ignore. He'd have more sense.

That is the average amount of pitches per plate appearance for a top team in the mlb (stats from 2018) with the highest average this season being 4.57 by Rhys Hoskins.

I only mention this for the reason that in both online and offline modes, in this game, there is a inordinate amount of fouling balls off and extending out what clearly shouldn't be extended.

Maybe if pitching input mattered more and you could actually strike people out, this game would be the simulation that some people think it is.

Btw, I didn't just lose a game, I'm grinding conquest maps and I'm sick of constantly having at bats go nine, ten or even more pitches. Don't even get me started with online and the ridiculous out of fouled off balls.

I would like a mechanic in the game, that if someone bunt dances too much, they get stuck in the bunt motion.

I think if you played Mitch, you may realise that skill will win out more often than you think. I haven't played him, but I watched the last stream that happened through this forum and he is a beast. My online win record is 61 percent and I realised after watching that stream that it doesn't deserve to be higher because I'm simply not that good.

Are there faults with this game? For sure. Should those faults mean that you lose a third of your games? No! That's why the guys at the top of the leaderboards are there, consistently.

Is there any point to obsessing over those faults? No, not at this point of the cycle when they are not going to change anything.

Would anyone else like to see the timed programs disappear? I liked 16's approach (I think), where you could complete the programs at your own pace.

I know I haven't finished at least three inning programs due to not being able to play enough at the time. Sadly, I can't complete them to get the bosses either at this point.

Maybe if there was an option to work on the inning program after the fact, it would be more palatable.

Anyway, that's my thought for the day.

He would be a worthy addition. Let's be honest though, there are a plethora of outstanding players that they haven't added to the game yet, and it would be nice to see them. Personally, I want the BIG UNIT in the game or Pedro Martinez. It's just a wait and see proposition at the moment, though. Again, he would be a great addition though.
