Has Conquest always been this competitive?

If the CPU pitcher isn't painting corners like Michelangelo; they're throwing so low in the dirt it's almost like golf.
Shoestring catches in the outfield. Catcher's throwing out runners with 80+ speed. Etc.
All this on All-Star.
If All-Star playes this way, on Ranked Seasons, I can see why people want higher difficulty.

Conquest has been a line out fest for me. I’ll have a game where I score 10 runs then I’ll win 1-0 in extra innings.

I had a game go 13 innings on rookie. I was smashing pitches, but they weren't going anywhere past the warning track. I was ready to throw my controller through the tv.
I guess in the 13th the game decided I could hit home runs again.
It was the weirdest and most unsatisfying experience ever playing the show.
Cue idiots who want to have a go about needing 13 innings to beat the cpu on rookie. To make it worse, it was the Tigers. Lol

Only play conquest games on all star and higher and it’s not as bad. Bigger PCI=bad

I play on HOF and legend for the crappier teams, and the lineouts never go away but you just have to play smart baseball against them and you win 9/10 games at least. Count leverage goes a long way on conquest and most these pitchers like to work similar pitches from AB to AB, so find their tendencies and start raking.

That's my life in Conquest. So frustrating. Been using All-Star and Postseason players for that mission on 11th inning and it's driving me crazy. kill someone one game, next game can't by a single much less a dinger or Rbi.

I played back to back games against the same team and same starting pithcer, won the first 10-0 and won the second 1-0 in extras.

I've come to this conclusion as well. Somehow the big PCI is a net negative unless you use cards with next to no vision.
