I just bought a 1ms monitor 3 days ago and totally change my game, pitch I was late in, now I'm early, I just adapt and I'm ready for WS rank
If you have the possibility, do not hesitate to change from TV to monitor

This is a two part question.

    1. Can a PS4 be directly connected to a surface pro?
2)Would the surface pro act like a gaming monitor(or better than a tv)?

Sorry to ask this in your post but hopefully someone can enlighten me. Thanks

Other than lower input lag.. do you notice anything visually like seeing the ball better/picking up on breaking pitches better? I’m just curious bc I’ve heard some say you can, but don’t know since I’m still running a tv. Just wondering what your thoughts are on that

In 3 days of use, I feel that the pitches do not look as fast as on TV, HOF on monitor, looks like allstar on tv, Visually I could not say that they look better, but just by seeing them not so fast and have a better reaction time you will have a better selection of pitches.

You can’t even take advantage of Freesync for PlayStation yet.. unless your saying for the ps5, then I get you.

Im 99% sure they can't connect and I have a surface for school, theirs no hdmi so it would have to mirror somehow and it would probably be worse than any decent tv.

I bought a Q70R QLED, mostly for gaming. According to rtings.com it has "excellent response time" and they give it a gaming score of 9.1, one of the highest scores for gaming on a TV... the only TV's with a higher rating for gaming are the Q80R and Q90R, and the LG OLED's which have the potential for burn in.

When I bought the TV I was only playing Battlefield. Visually, stunning. After a while I found a good sale on a 1 ms ASUS monitor so decided to give it a shot. Noticed a difference while playing Battlefield, but it's hard to really determine just how much different it is when you're a casual gamer.

So, on to MLB The Show. Already had my monitor, so continued to use it. I then thought I'd try the big screen experience and better image quality of my QLED. Hooked it up... first game... late on EVERYTHING. Couldn't hit a darned thing. Noticeable difference in my ability to react in time to hit anything. So, went back to my 1 ms monitor and have never returned to my TV for gaming.

A 1 ms monitor is noticeably better response time, and although it doesn't have the image quality pop that my TV does, I'd never use my 9.1 gaming score TV for The Show.

FreeSync is a technology where you have a VRR (variable refresh rate) which allows refresh rates of a monitor (now some TVs) to adjust with the frame rates of a graphics card. It allows you to have smoother gameplay without screening tearing and stuttering. Ps4 doesn’t have a GPU that supports it.

so the ps5 will have this? So if im reading correctly, its better to play on monitor for a ps4 for this reason...but with a 5, a tv might be as good as a monitor? Struggling with the heater, always late on this game.

Can you noobs stop it with the BenQ Zowie monitor thing, this isn't Counter Strike on PC, this is a PS4 game...just grab a hot pocket and calm down casuals and stop acting like you need a 1ms monitor for Playstation.

This game is suffering from a broken timing window and latency issues. No monitor will fix that. I have one and my swing timing is just off.
