Why can I hit 100+ mph pitches on legend in practice but not on hof in RS?

In custom practice on legend I can have my pci in the center & still get up to hit the 102mph fastballs that are high in the zone...But in online games in HOF difficulty I have to cheat my pci up a bit in order to catch up to them. Why is that?

I don’t know the real reason but I can attest to the same issue. Legend I have no problem with fastballs in practice but ranked is another story

Increase ur pitch sliders on practice to max velocity and then try it.

Broken timing window and latency are playing a major role I suspect. I’ve struggled real bad this year.

Skepple is right. In 18 people were CONSTANTLY asking for faster pitch speeds....I do think they should make it universal online & off so you can truly get used to each level’s exact difficulty. I know someone mentioned adjusting the sliders but if nobody knows what they exactly are that’s just a best guess and not exact.

And? SDS cannot please everybody (And trying leads to pleasing nobody). Pitch speeds should be universal. ESPECIALLY considering they want online players to crossover into offline, and offline players to crossover into online

What's the point of a practice mode that doesnt relicate online difficulty? Madden has it too in theory practice mode which does not replicate online at all.

Probably nerves, frustration and overthinking. I find myself enraged and realize I’m doing myself no favors. I tend to mash my pci too far when I’m not playing calm. Slow it down.

This is the thing I hate most about this game is that it plays completely different offline then it does online. Offline feels so smooth and then you get online and the pitcher lifts his arm and the ball is on top of you.

I agree.
Difficulty settings are pretty much irrelevant now anyway. Showdown, AS in ranked, even vs cpu nothing plays the way you would expect it to so why even have difficulties?
