Easy solution: Block toxic users. After a couple of days of doing this, the world is just better. They can spew toxicity and you don't have to see it. (Wish this worked in the real world). By the way.... the "Captain" on this thread just magically disappeared from my world so I don't even have to see how he responds to my advice... 
They have finally started enforcing the rules and banning people for toxicity on the forum, I got a temp ban last week for telling an idiot I thought he was an idiot, which I had no problem with. Report the offending post and move on, don’t add to the general toxicity by making a new thread just to rant about the subject.
Gaming forums in general are toxic. So many gamers believe that they know more than even the developers and that the way that they enjoy the game is the "right" way to play. Oh, and they believe that their opinions are somehow facts.
