The spooky could be like the first DQ. Pretty much guaranteed as long as you beat the two teams

@rubicante23_PSN So maybe stop asking people to do specific things? He's not asking to do less. He's asking to not have to do a specific thing (which absolutely sucks). Showdowns, moments, and Diamond Quest are fine as shortcuts to programs, but they should never be REQUIRED for a program. And you can't promote "play your way" and then get offended when people complain when you make the game anything but. EVERY reward should either be sellable or not require moments, showdowns, and/or DQ. Period.

Here we go with the "play your way" stuff again. When "play your way" was mentioned it was in regards to the new Multiplayer program for online play. I haven't been able to find any evidence that they ever promoted "play your way" in reference to other programs besides the multiplayer one. If anyone has evidence of that please share it.

Also, it's completely impossible for all of Diamond Dynasty to be "play your way". Because then every card would have to be obtainable by barely even playing the game at all. There will always be someone out there who can't or does not want to do certain parts of the game.

The crazy HR mission now says it’s a goof and a placeholder for something else. Who knows. Good luck!

go watch the early streams it was hounded play the game the way you want to earn the rewards it wasn't about multiplayer. i don't care ( as many other offline players probably don't ) if you make the offline requirements a little more than an online one if they think that balances it out but let me play the game and modes i like to play. not you must do DQ and not be guaranteed the card you played for or you must do 12 moments to complete a program along with a 16 team playoff conquest and 4 other stat missions.

I did not play last year, but two years ago the only way you could get the final card in the Spooky program was to do a showdown. I am have no luck with showdowns whatsoever. Not being able to finish that program was one of the reasons why I did not play last year. So if there are to be showdowns involved here, please make an alternate way to complete the program. Please. Thx.

I could be wrong, and someone here can verify this for me... but isn't the conquest repeatable for 20 points?

repeatable for packs not the points i don't believe

    You are correct, my mistake!

I have not been able to find any mention of them saying that you can play the game the way you want and earn all the rewards. I've checked, because this gets brought up a lot and I was curious about the context. If I'm wrong and they did say it then I'd love to know where/when so I can check it out.

Which stream and what is the time stamp so I can check it out? I watched them all again a couple months back when this came up before and did not hear them say that.

All I ever found was on March 4, 2025 in the "Fielding Feedback: Diamond Dynasty" clip they introduced the multiplayer program and said "play your way to earn some of the best Diamond Dynasty rewards" around the 2:47 mark.

Play your way was, I believe, always meant to be a reference to progressing the inning programs since XP is gained everywhere.

I doubt it was ever meant to be all encompassing

A little too much hyperbole to say “every card would have to be obtainable by barely even playing the game at all.” That’s totally wrong. For example I finished every extreme program since ‘22 by playing a large portion of the progress I earned with repeatable missions until February the following year. SDS should make it accessible & possible to finish by other methods than what better players can finish more quickly (extreme moments, showdowns, etc). Part of it is that players like me still do it but do it slower. I (and probably many others like me) have no problem with that. But there’s just no reason to take away those options for program completion.

@markemark_NSW I would have no issues with that at all. But then you agree that there should be some sort of limits/requirements in place in order to earn certain cards right?

    @Pergo_MLBTS
The limits/requirements is a trade off:
Play harder levels/modes earn rewards quicker
    OR
play on easier levels/modes and it takes longer

I dont mind the idea that there be a fast way (skilled way) and slow way to finish programs.

But, you should still need to do different things in the game - whether its diamond quest, conquest, battle royale, whatever....

Like, I just come from an old-school mindset where grinding means you do all the stuff in the game to accomplish all the objectives.

I agree with this. It also means you are actually against "play your way" and in favor of being forced to do certain things to earn certain cards.

This might be the easiest DQ ever, super easy.

That is not true. One of the things that I and many others have noticed is that there are no longer repeatable missions to finish programs. There are repeatable rewards in conquest maps but not missions for program completion. By not including such repeatable missions, SDS is not allowing players who take the easier-but-slower route a way to play our way to finish programs. Instead we are forced to do moments, showdowns and other modes we do not prefer.

No offense to anyone but you can be the worst player ever at this game and still beat this DQ on the first try. Lot of people complaining about something that’s super easy and not very time consuming.

I understand the frustration with the 30K XP in mini seasons for Santana, but I personally like having an actual reason to play mini seasons. Packs don’t do it for me.

Offline doesn't want to do online and vice versa. Offline can purchase the cards, but get waaay less stubborn making opportunities. I dont feel it's that bad for online to play the offline modes. For the most part they are better players and do most of the tasks in far less time. Also I dont understand why they're against doing dq ms, etc. They say offline is mind numbing, but only playing online is the exact same thing over and over and over. I like the variety. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but that's my take.

Don't get me wrong - Im not saying conquest, miniseasons, and DQ are a thrill ride! Those modes could be improved to be more interesting, more varied, more rewarding for skilled players, more strategic, etc.....but all that will probably never happen, so you play what's there...
