@Dolenz_PSN I've had very similar situations. I can go from scoring 15 runs on All Star, to going into extras 0-0 on veteran.
I always think it's my eyes though, and started to adjust my PCI mid-game. That seems to snap me out of it.

@Dolenz_PSN same. There’s enough newer games out now that I can rotate, AC Black Flag, NASCAR, BF6 has come roaring back. So now I’m playing MLBTS a couple hours a week as opposed to a couple hours a day.
This month has been one of the better months ever for game releases if you like RPGs. Zero Company, Dawnwalker, and maybe the two best games of the year, Trails in the Sky SC and Fire Emblem, releasing on the same day last week.

Yeah, there are a ton of games both big and small that can fill the gaps. This afternoon I plan on throwing the VR Headset on and playing Puzzling Places, my zen game of choice.
But back to the point it is not just about me getting no hit. It is also about those pitch locations for a bronze and silver pitcher. It is about me being patient and seeing 15 pitches in the first inning and seeing 0 hittable pitches.
Oh and the two swing a misses the graphic shows were almost assuredly check swings that went against me. I still absolutely hate how check swings seem random, even years after they made that change. I understand why they changed them (too powerful online) but I can't deny that the game is less enjoyable for me the way it is now.

For a video game, any video game, to remain successful it has to deliver on the most simple and yet profound measure -- is the game fun to play?
I mean seriously, how many people out there plunk down hard earned money to buy something so it can frustrate the pee total [censored] out of them!
It is common sense at work here. If the game loses its fun appeal, then the game has lost its relevance.
Fun can be measured in many ways. Is success achieved with the proper balance of challenge? That is best achieved by a proper scale of difficulty level so that as a player develops expertise, the challenge can be advanced to match and maintain the challenge-reward measure.
Does the game have a means to allow original material to be included that adds personal interest? Does the game offer a heightened level of graphical joy, immersion level, and auditory stimulation?
When one evaluates MLB the Show on each of these five tiers of enjoyment, the game that used to be at the top of the heap several years ago, is now trailing big time when measured against its rival companies' latest releases.

None of those are mandatory. There is no checklist you can have that will define fun for every person.
This game has its issues for sure. But, I am sure there are a lot of people out there that still enjoy it. Shoot while those last two games were not fun I still usually have fun when I play it.
Now if you excuse me, I have to get back to putting a 3D model together in VR., a game and activity that I am sure others would find not fun at all but one that I enjoy immensely. In fact it may be my most played PS5 game ever.

That kinda proves my point. I have never gotten any of the big collections done. My fun isn't tied to that at all but I understand that many are.
I kind of put that on the same level as people who have to get 100% of the achievements or trophies in a game. Not fun for me but fun for many, many others.
There is no one size fits all when it comes to fun.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I ain't too sure. I've had this happen to me and I ain't a quitter. You don't build character by quitting because you lost a battle. Same how many famous generals in history lost battles. They never quit. Losing motivates me to move foward and try harder.
Those people who quit the second they get a line drive out aren't real players. They're people who haven't evolved to understand that getting out is apart of the game.

As an aside, I was playing a mini seasons game for the Moonshot stuff at a small stadium (trying for some HRs to get the ultra pack).Whilst I won comfortably, in the 9th I brought in Pujols to pitch.
Obviously a bronze, but the CPU, on rookie, hit five home runs in seven pitches.

That is crazy, but just another example of how the game randomly goes off the rails. Using the excuse of “that’s baseball” can’t be a catch all for poor gameplay and ridiculous RNG.

Jumped back in today and things went better as I hoped they would. 3 games. No extra innings. In the third game against the Mets I even managed 5 HRs with the unlikely duo of Red Schoendienst and Ozzie Smith going back to back

@capardo_XBL I don't think I completed any of them either. Too many cards were locked behind paywalled packs. I don't think the game was overly fun overall this year with too many negative changes designed to force us into the MTX shop.
If '27 is the same it'll honestly probably be my last MLBTS buy. Juice 100% wasn't worth the squeeze this year.

@sarge1387_psn I know I’m on the fence. I like to complete as many of the collections as possible. Cards are way too expensive. Unless the market crashes, I don’t think I’ll complete any of the big collections either.
If that’s the case, I’ll be passing on next year. I’m also on the fence because of the lack of action on the WBC exploit. I think that has ALOT to do with the expensive market.
