I’m awful online and I don’t enjoy it at all. I realized last night that I’m not even playing it for a reward like past events where you get a card you could buy in the market. I have 3x every card I could want or need, packs that would take more time to open then they’re worth. I’d even play diamond quest for a card I couldn’t get elsewhere. Conquest, mini season. The only cards out of reach though are weekend classic rewards because I’m so bad online, so I just buy those in the marketplace. Playing for spotlight packs after completing all lightning collections is lame. It’s great for those that are trying to finish lightning collections, but there should be some other things to be playing for.

Forgot to mention - the info for the current event says it goes until September 15th! So that means 8 more days of this event with the spotlight pack rewards. I thought events run 3-5 days. Anyways, sometime I have a shot at winning after I’ve lost 1 game. It’s rarely an enjoyable mode to play for me.

@victoryphoenix_PSN I can beat the CPU on HoF and Legend no problem...sometimes even on the GOAT setting.
Get me online and I'm behind EVERYTHING, even on AS. The game's netcode just can't handle it. From the outside looking in, this game's online setup seems second to none. Playing it, however is an entirely different story.
Unless I'm playing coop with my buddy I largely avoid online anymore, unfortunately.

I think the matchmaking could improve, for sure. Not sure how it can be done but it would be nice.

Don't get me wrong, it's not all the game and the netcode. I know I'm not gonna hit.750 like some of these monsters, and I'll lose more than I win...and sometimes it is just me guess the wrong pitch and not adjusting in time. That I'm ok with, but when it I'm positive I got the swing timing right, and it says I'm "Very Late", it just doesn't make sense.

Timing windows can be extremely inconsistent and I think part of it is by design. I know connection has a lot to do with it but sometimes the feedback is head shaking.

I hate, hate, hate online. I just came back to the game and I will stick with conquests, mostly, though I started a mini-season this a.m. just to see what it was like again. It's ok. Conquest is my favorite, though. What really bugs me about online is all the exclusive (and usually very very good) cards are there and only there. For those of us that don't play, that stinks. Another thing to rant about: I hate paying for showdowns, so outside of the free one, I won't touch them. I did find out recently when trying DQ is that that's kind of showdownish, but I managed to do ok there. Maybe because I'm not paying for them. Paying for them really stresses me out, especially early on when I don't have that many stubbs and don't want to shell out 500 each time I lose. I really really wish that would change. One of the reasons I didn't play last year at all was because the Halloween program in '24 needed a showdown to get Vlad. Guerrero. I gave up after a few tries. Every program should have multiple ways to win. That one didn't.

Same here, I’m not that great at all. 43 years old and new to gaming. But I swear I’ve seen the PCI flicker or stutter as I’m swinging. Or sometimes I’ll see it’s exactly on the ball and when I look at this swing result, it’s way off.

I genuinely don't understand why I keep trying to play online. It's an absolutely miserable experience and at this point in the year the only people still playing online are the people that are great at the game. If you're playing online either you're really good or you hate yourself

I play a little bit online. I just can't get into it without more of a socialization aspect like when I played in Madden leagues in the 2000s. Playing random strangers who have Spongebob or pornography as their team emblems is just awkward. Also, with DD there's so much "homework" you need to complete before actually playing that when I'm finally done completing the tasks & objectives I just want to do something else. Starting in '27 I'm thinking of cutting back on DD and maybe try a league or two.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN man it would be so awesome if they brought back online franchise. They probably ditched it to get more people playing DD but if they somehow brought it back, I think that’s all I would play

@beatlesnews_MLBTS there isn’t one online card that isn’t buyable except the ranked ones. Even the “exclusive” Ronald Acuna was buy almost immediately after.

@RSALERMO_XBL I've also noticed the PCI doesn't respond/move with the input a fair amount of times as well.
