Interesting note to Game Update 17 dropping tomorrow Sept 1st.
-
Just noticed that myself. Tomorrow should be very interesting on Twitch.
-
I wondered if there was a distinction between promoting and using which is why they had not previously punished these guys
Now if only they had punished the ones who did break the explicitly stated rules by exploiting the WBC glitch. Sorry I just don't want to let that one drop
-
Massive W. I hope they console and IP ban.

It won't be retroactive. Anyone who promotes after tomorrow will be at risk

From the notes.
***Developer Note: Update to Code of Conduct
With Game Update 1.17, we are updating the Code of Conduct to explicitly prohibit the promotion of third-party currency purchasing, including sponsorships, referrals, and other related activities. While enforcement against unauthorized buying, selling, and transferring of Stubs or account services is not new, we recognize that our policy on promotional activities has not always been communicated as clearly as it could have been. To remove any ambiguity moving forward, users found promoting third-party storefronts after Game Update 1.17 is live may be subject to suspension or permanent bans. ***Say goodbye to a few streamers.
Can't wait for them to cry like the babies they are.

Lol wow all you people hating on streamers who were giving endorsement contract instead of calling out the hypocrisy of SDS is just generally showing of your age and misunderstanding of what is happening. Even though legally they can do this it is starting to tread on violation of people's personal civil rights now. Yes it's a private platform, but so is that streamers youtube, twitch, TikTok whatever and to tell them what they can and can't promote is getting very sketchy now.
-
Another massive win for SDS! 2 in a row. They are finally starting to reclaim their game back.
Where I was pretty sure I wasn't going to buy this game next year, now I'm pretty sure I am going to buy this game next year. That's called rebuilding trust with your playerbase!

We’ve officially reached the “advertising black-market video game currency is a civil right” portion of the discourse. Incredible. Streamers are free to promote TOS-breaking services, and SDS is free to ban them from its game. Freedom of choice isn’t freedom from consequences. Please leave the civil rights movement out of Diamond Dynasty.

What you said is on point and we'll said!

Honest question: Were you high when you posted this? Absolute nonsense and not even close to being true.
You broke ToS. You got caught. Deal with it.

"Now if only they had punished the ones who did break the explicitly stated rules by exploiting the WBC glitch. Sorry I just don't want to let that one drop"
I'm with you on this one. I can't let it go either because it's something they can easily identify and correctly punish without false positives. They simply chose not to.
They sent a clear message that they don't really care about fair play unless it directly effects their stub purchase income. That's important enough to me that I'm just out on anything SDS going forward.

-
While I’m extremely grateful for what SDS has addressed recently with regards to “fair play”, I, too am waiting for them to address the “WBC glitch”.
It is very impactful on whether I take a year off from MLB the show (or not). I’m just one person, but gotta take a stand.

Huge W , about time

Are you serious?

-
The sad part is... he is probably serious. I mean SDS had to have it's legal team involved with this to make sure every "i" is dotted and "t" is crossed, so I really am at a loss with this one.

Aww look who obviously skimmed a comment then thought they'd do a gotcha. Listen they ABSOLUTELY have the right to get promoted and endorsement for whatever they want. And yes SDS has the right to ban people from using it. But since you obviously don't understand to then tell people they are basically not allowed to take an endorsement deal from said 3rd party contract also violates some of thier rights shows you are probably mid 20s and mad because you have NO real world life experience. All well this company had lied, defamed their product, allowed contuined obvious cheating with proof, and punished people with thier personal blunders. Then simply said sucks to be you guys and still have people going "yeah back this company and don't talk about their hypocrisy" then leads me to believe that you are probably either A) a bot AI reply B) a paid employee or C) simply don't have enough world real life experience to realize when someone is saying look over there just to distract you from what was happening. You know kinda like, look we banned these people for breach of ToS but hey no don't worry about them over there doing something any normal person would say is even worse breach of ToS. All well basically going hey it's not at all because this thing costs us money and the other thing simply make our game a wreck. LOL and finally NO WHERE DID I SAY advertising 3rd party currency is a civil rights, I said telling someone what they can and cannot say on THIER PERSONAL platform is starting to skim the line.

Should probably look of changing ToS after already accepting current ToS contract and how it technically is not an enforceable thing since you already agreed to a set contact and to change ToS well into an agreement already can be fought without AMPLE notice and accepting new ToS wording and changes.

I'm 62 and I think you are full of it.
They are not stopping Streamers from streaming
They are not stopping them from taking those endorsements.
They just won't be playing MLB The Show while they stream and promote their endorsements. There are plenty of things to be upset about and aspects of the game to protest against, but I don't see this as one of them.
Your Friend Kyle's promotion of this 3rd Party company got hundreds if not thousands of players banned. SDS are actually protecting large portions of their audience by not allowing them to be duped by streamers who are financially motivated to steer their audience down a path that is against the terms of service.
