My ideas for MLB the show 27
-
My name is Nicholas, and I am a big fan of MLB The Show. I have been playing Road to the Show and I have been thinking about some ideas that I think could make MLB The Show 27 even better.
I know these are a lot of ideas, and I know making a game takes a lot of work, but I wanted to share them because I think some of them would make RTTS feel more realistic and make long careers more exciting.
- More colleges
I would like to see more colleges added to Road to the Show. Sometimes I want to make a player from a certain area or school, but the school isn't an option.
- World Baseball Classic
I think the World Baseball Classic would be really cool in RTTS. Since it happens every four years, the WBC could come around every four seasons during your career. Your player's country could determine which team they play for. For example, a player from the USA could play for Team USA, while a player from Japan could play for Team Japan. You could keep getting opportunities to play in the WBC until you retire.
- More things in the stadium that show your history
When you win something big, I think the stadium should remember it. There could be banners or displays for things like the Wild Card, ALDS, ALCS, and World Series.
If you are playing for a real MLB team, the developers could make the official displays. If you made your own team, you could design the championship banner yourself. For a World Series banner, it would have to have the World Series trophy or the words "World Series Champions," along with the year.
- More mascot interactions
I play RTTS with the Rangers a lot, and I like seeing Captain, but there aren't very many interactions. I think there should be a lot more random mascot interactions with players, fans, and other mascots.
- Create your own mascot
If you create your own team, I think you should be able to create your own mascot. There could be different sections for the head, body, legs, and accessories. You could have things like a baseball head, dog head, human head, animal parts, baseball gloves, duck floaties, hats, and other funny things.
- Mascot Vault
I think you should also be able to upload your mascot to the Vault so other people can use it. You could also download mascots that other players made.
- Create your own team in RTTS
I think it would be really cool if you could create your own MLB team and actually play for it in RTTS. For example, I could make a team called the Dallas Dogs.
You could either replace an existing MLB team or make it a new expansion team. You could choose the team's name, logo, colors, uniforms, stadium, mascot, and everything else.
- More team names
Sometimes I have an idea for a team, but the game doesn't have the name I want. I think there should be a lot more team names to choose from.
- More player names
I would also like to see a lot more first and last names for RTTS players. There are times when I make a player and the name I want isn't available.
- Nicknames
I think RTTS should have more nicknames for your player. You could have nicknames like "The Secret Weapon" or "Sweet Feet."
Some nicknames could even be earned because of how you play. For example, if you steal a lot of bases, you could eventually earn a nickname like "Sweet Feet."
- Teams changing uniforms over time
RTTS careers can last for a really long time. I am currently playing in 2035, and sometimes I think, "Wouldn't this team have changed its uniforms by now?"
I think after every season the game could ask if you want to change some things about the team for the next season, like uniforms, logos, colors, or even the stadium. You could also choose to keep everything the same.
- Custom stadium camera views
In RTTS, sometimes the game shows the outside of a stadium, a statue, or another part of the ballpark.
I think Stadium Creator should let people add their own camera views. You could place a camera outside the stadium, looking at a statue, a championship display, a giant team sign, or something else you built.
- A much bigger Hall of Fame
I think the Hall of Fame should be a much bigger part of RTTS. When you make the Hall of Fame, there should be a personalized plaque with your player's face, kind of like a real Hall of Fame plaque.
Your Hall of Fame exhibit could also grow depending on what you accomplished during your career.
For example, it could have your team hat, bat, awards, World Series trophies, and other memorabilia. If you reached major milestones, those could become part of your exhibit too, like the ball from your 200th home run or something representing your 500th stolen base.
- Retired numbers and a Hall of Fame ceremony
I think your team should be able to retire your number if you had a great enough career.
When you retire and make the Hall of Fame, I think there should be a special cutscene. There could be a curtain covering your retired number, and then the curtain falls and reveals it. Your former teammates and other retired players could be standing there facing your number, while the crowd watches.
That would make retirement feel like a real ending to your career.
- After retirement
After retiring, I think you should still be able to visit your Hall of Fame exhibit and look at everything you accomplished.
You should also be able to watch games after retirement so you can see the league continue without your player.
- More memorable rock music
I would really like more rock and roll music in the menus. I honestly don't know many of the songs in the current soundtrack, and I want more songs that I will remember.
Bands in the style of AC/DC, Metallica, KISS, and other classic rock and hard rock bands would be really cool.
- Jacob deGrom on the cover
I think Jacob deGrom would be a really cool choice for the MLB The Show 27 cover. He is a Rangers player and he is getting older in his career, so I think it would be a cool way to celebrate him.
I also don't think I have ever seen a Texas Rangers player as the main MLB The Show cover athlete, so it would be really special to me.
- More hairstyles and realistic aging
I think there should be more hairstyles and a realistic aging system for RTTS players.
I'm not talking about making your player look old just because they are older. I mean that your player should naturally change over a long career, like how real players change their appearance over many years.
Hair could change, facial hair could change, and eventually hair could start getting gray.
- Aging and facial hair settings
I think these should be optional.
There could be:
Player Aging: ON/OFF
Facial Hair Growth: ON/OFFThat way, people who want a more realistic career can turn it on, while people who don't want it can turn it off.
- Off-day barber
There could also be a barber option on off-days. You could get a haircut, change your hairstyle, or trim/change your facial hair.
It could even give you a small temporary bonus, like 2x Power Token rewards for a few games. It would be a fun little part of your player's life without being required.
- Baseball History
Finally, I think RTTS should have a League History page.
You could look back at every season and see things like the World Series champion, MVP, home run leader, Gold Glove winners, WBC champion, records that were broken, teams that moved, uniform changes, and your own accomplishments.
If you played from 2027 all the way to 2050, you could look back and see the history of your entire baseball world.
The biggest thing I would want is for RTTS to feel like a baseball world that changes over time and remembers what your player accomplished.

One no one is gonna read this because I definitely didn't and 2 you do realize that this game engine is only so big so Whatever your saying will take alot of space that isn't there and 3 you can't just give Degrom the cover because he's getting older

Tell them to bring back Sounds of the Show and remove the Logo Vault, before they do any of that shite!
