    Could one of the brilliant folks on here explain to me how LS Louis Varland is still only an 82 OVR?

    He started really low at the beginning of the year, maybe.

    He did (because I bought a bunch of his cards when he was in the 60s or 70s OVR) when the game launched. I knew he was going to go way up. But I can’t understand (with most of his numbers in the top 2 in the league) how he isn’t a diamond yet. He has been brilliant pretty much all year.

    I think that this is the biggest reason. While Varland is the 7th highest rated Live Series Closer the other 6 ahead of him all started out with a higher Overall

    It is the same reason Jordan Walker is an 80 and actually was downgraded last update.

    The attributes are not always indicative of the current season depending on where that player started the season.

    Here is a comparison: Jordan Walker started at 67 went up to 81 and then was downgraded to an 80 Kyle Tucker started as an 88 and went down to an 82. Walker is beating Tucker in every category including SB, and beating him by a healthy margin.

    But because Walker started out low and Tucker started High Tucker is the better card still

    @Dolenz_PSN

    Thank you! I was actually hoping you would comment and summarize it like you have. Much appreciated. You are one of the reasons I still read the Forum (despite all the negativity in here).
