Forfeited Game?!

I was playing my first Weekend Classic game and it was going into the 14th inning. I went to move my infield in, and the game was immediately forfeited because, apparently, I ran out of time. This was absurd and infuriating, and has never happened to me before. I've sat and played people, watching incredulously after they needlessly pause the game for a minute, only to see them gain the time back as the game goes on, and then have them delay it again, etc. I never delayed anything in this game. Just quick moves to swap out pitchers, baserunners, and moving the infield in, etc. But for some reason, probably because of the length of the game, my time ran out. I don't understand how people who waste my time delaying the game get time added back, and the small moves I was making in an extended game somehow was able to run out the clock. It should never have happened in a Weekend Classic game, and I swear I did not make excessive moves and I did not take long in making the moves I made. Has this happened to anyone else?

Last night in co-op me and my buddy saw this. We didn’t pause until the seventh inning to take our starting pitcher out and all of a sudden we only had 10 seconds left. Luckily, we pull off the switch before the timer ran out but still.
During the same game we watched our opponent pause for what equalled well over four minutes throughout…their timer reset almost every time.

Okay, so what's up with that? It's so lame. I never paused anything longer than it took me to sub a player or move the infield in. Especially in Weekend Classic where every game matters, it really sucks to lose a tight game for no reason or server error.
