@manu__sds_mlbts , when you've been a loyal customer for years now, who's gotten every card of those 4 years, legitimately, simply by grinding flipping cards, and this year you get restricted 5 times, the last one for over a week then you can sigh.

I just had a spinal fusion, so I can't do very much currently, but one thing I can do is play The Show and use the app. Which the past month and a half has been as easy to use as the Nintendo Power Glove with it taking longer to do 20 orders of 5 cards then it does to get actual Topps Chrome Platinum delivered by Temu. As fast as I am at flipping cards, I can't place 15 orders in the milliseconds it takes for someone to place a single order, so it should be easily distinguished Im not a bot.

Im not sure how you don't understand the frustration, You'd think players who consistently buy your game and dedicate countless hours playing and even more hours grinding on the app legitimately would be appreciated, not "sighed" at for being angry at basically be called a cheater and restricted from using the app over and over.

So Manu, sigh all you want at the players, loyalty and frustration with complete nonsense, and when they all finally get tired of paying $100 dollars to be an early release beta tester, we will all collectively sigh when you are no longer employed. Do better my guy.

I have been restricted since June 27th. I was buying commons and bronzes at quick sell and reselling them. No automation or bots.
I turned in a ticket on the 29th. No response. I went on vacation and got back this last Tuesday. I was hoping there would be a response. No response. I sent another ticket yesterday.
I feel like I have been ghosted.

@PsylockeSmythe_XBL im at 1.1 million stubs from working the market with the bots. If you are smart, you can work around them. Its infinitely better than only being able to put 2 orders in, and having to restart your app. We get punished for SDS inability to properly stabilize… well anything. I used to give SDS major props because they were so far and away from companies like 2k and EA. Now they can’t communicate, they cant keep their servers up, they cant fix laggy menus, and they cant even figure out how to properly manage an app, meant to make the experience better

@PORTER0040_PSN Trust me when I say that I'm not trying to defend SDS. There have been lots of issues with this year's release that hasn't been fixed yet, that I don't have any confidence in them to fix. Sorta like in 2025, that the 3rd base coach was always wearing a jacket that was never fixed.

I'm just trying to point out that people need to pick their poison when it comes to the various solutions. As I don't feel that any of the obvious solutions will make the majority of the player base happy.

@PittsburghPAVS_XBL -- First off, sorry to hear about the medical issues. Hope you recover as quickly and comfortably as possible.

I just want to point out that @manu__sds_mlbts in particular is working very hard every day to get things where they need to be, so please cut him a break. His task is not an easy one, and he's going above and beyond in ways that you all can't necessarily see. Just want you to know that.

Again, sending my best wishes to you.

Seems to me that since the prime goal of using bots is to make rapid fire automatic transactions to disrupt normal market behavior, vice the game code measuring numbers of transactions, instead it would make more sense if it measured timelines of transactions compared to a previous one?

Meaning, any transaction that happened within seconds of a previous one, involving the same item as in the previous transaction, would be flagged since humans doing that is a near impossibility. If the same account does this more than twice in a single day, then ban that account.

The odds of a real human making a counter transaction within seconds of an original one is what is unnatural, not how many total transactions are carried out by one account in a given day.

We did a little casual testing a while back and were able to make a transaction every 1.5 seconds or so, for what it's worth.

Understand, but the evidence of timeline isn't based on how fast a human CAN place a transaction, but instead on how fast a human can actually detect someone else placing a transaction using Account X, and then placing a directly counter transaction using Account Z.

I seriously doubt any human can make this sort of counter-play within seconds of someone else placing their order. They would first have to be obsessively focused on the market 100% of the time, which isn't rational, or just exceedingly lucky. This is why my suggestion focuses on the same account being able to pull this highly unhuman move twice in the same day (or even the same 12-hour period).

I repeat, if you could focus the game code in the community market to measure that sort of action, then I think you've got a really nice option to effectively kill the bots. You will have removed any advantage to using them.

@PsylockeSmythe_XBL I agree. I also dont think anything they do will get rid of the bots, so I think its best to just lets us figure out a way around them, like placing 1 buy order really close to the sell order, and cancelling it after a bot has placed theirs. It will almost always be completed immediately, and yours will be the next available. I just don't think the community will be happy no matter what though (and by all rights, theres a lot of reasons not to be), but we got to find a way around it, if its not gunna be fixed.

Just by his constant communication is going way above and beyond. I can definitely tell the bro cares. Let's give @manu__sds_mlbts some space to work.

Wow - this is definetly not the feeling of the player base. Yes, the game has caused many people a lot of frustration, but there’s nothing but gratitude for anyone trying to fix those problems and make the game better. Thanks again for the work you’re doing.
