Even though I want to give them a chance because of the great communication, I still have my doubts that any of this will work because of how adaptive people are with these scripts. It slows them down for few days and then they are back at it but then we are the ones restricted but the bots aren't. It's a game of whack a mole and it seems as if the honest players are the ones getting wacked. Let's give them some time to refine the restrictions before we get our pitchforks and blowtorches out. I gotta think the restrictions are here to stay.

Please check the video linked in this other thread.

    https://forums.theshow.com/post/770267

The exact same thing is happening to me

EDIT: Technically it's 5 orders and then a hard stop as shown. Still, 4 or 5, same experience.

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS the work that’s been done in the last week had undoubtably helped the integrity of the marketplace. I can appreciate that you’re fine tuning the filters so they don’t feel so restrictive. That being said, i think being able to place 3 or 4 bids a minute that have a 50% chance of going through is more important than being able to make 20 bids a minute that have a 2% chance of going through.
The past 2 days I have noticed bots on several items, but not like they were last week or before. I have only noticed a few bots that do the instant undercutting and deleting bids instantly - which is good. The bots I’m noticing now will wait 15-30 seconds after the last bid was placed and then will undercut by 1. When their bid wins, 15-30 seconds later it will make a new bid to remain the highest or lowest bidder… so instead of instant undercutting then deleting, this new behavior waits 15-30 seconds and makes a top bid. It they win or get outbid, wait 15-30 seconds and makes new top bid.
Obviously, humans need to be able to make their bids and move on to other items or play the game instead of babysit their bids. But this not behavior will win items around the clock. The last 2 nights I placed bids on some items I suspected having bots and my bids were still sitting the next day and looking at sale history I could see the items were won over and over with a bid slightly above mine.

Anyways, I don’t mean to ramble. TL;DR - the bot situation is much improved but there are still bots noticeable on some items, but not all items like they have been most of 2026. Instead of instant outbids and undercuts, bots are waiting for no bids to be made for 30 seconds(ish) and placing top bids or placing new top bids when they win the item. 24/7

Genuine question. Would eliminating all transactions except on consoles solve the bot problem? I’m not tech savvy but if this is possible it may be the only way to kill bots for good. Seems like the app and show zone on the computer are the root cause of the bot issue.

@TripleH-4481_PSN My best guess that it would remove the majority of the bots, since they use an emulator to run the app on a PC. If you remove the market from the app, that removes the main way that the bots can access the data.

Which is why every time there has been an update to the app, the bots seem to go away or slow down, until they get updated to work within the new parameters and the market slowly goes back to being terrible.

They would more than likely also need to remove the market from the website, since people can use macros/scripts/automation tools to mess around with the market, but the website at least has the captcha to slow things down somewhat.

Yeah that all makes sense and I appreciate the reply. I know people like flipping on the app or their PC but if the bots could be neutralized for good by making transactions only possible on the console then it needs to be done. The player base would adjust and the market would be much better for it.

@TripleH-4481_PSN i would then suggest sds to totally change the way cards are posted on console which is a miserable experience one by one.

Maybe they should log us out every 6 hours on the app and authenticate via registered email. Solves some of the issues I would think and no restrictions.

@PLY24MKR_XBL Impossible. The bots are everywhere.

Devastatingly, the market margins are the worst they’ve been all week.

At this point @manu__sds_mlbts please just disable the market on the app entirely or restrict it even more. Also appreciate the work you’re doing. Don’t give up! Give the bots the grief they deserve

@manu__sds_mlbts we really appreciate the hard work you're putting in. I think it might be time to take the market off the app, I think that might alleviate the aggravation for everyone, including yourself.

    Hey everyone & @manu__sds_mlbts ,

I was wondering what could be done about this kind of botting (if it is botting? If not it’s super weird) where you see hundreds of buy now listings at a single value, which makes me think it is a bot or hacked account that is able to bypass the 20 card limit? I’m attaching photos of a few for reference now. strange listings

    Thanks all!

Except that it stops bots and slows down flippers. I flip too but it drives me insane when people post 20 plus orders undercutting the market and destroying margins. Bottom line making it more tedious improves margins drastically for those willing to put in the work on the console. The app is being abused by bots.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I've often wondered if that's the "Haves" making sure the "Have-Nots" can not. And that's a separate issue from the bots too. Now, do I think it's all the whales that would do this? Heck no, I think the majority of people are cool about most things...but do I think there's a rotten few? 100%

    @Sarge1387_PSN

Oh for sure. To each their own but I’ve never flipped volume. I buy one of each card with a good margin and then sell it for profit across a wide range of cards and just repeat the cycle. That way I don’t get burned if a card tanks and I don’t disrupt the market.

For that reason I don’t need the app but those that mass flip in quantities of 20 or more that massively undercut the market and/or those using bots need the app and PC to monopolize the game.

There’s heavy bot activity atm. Pretty much every item I just interacted with the last 20 min has bots actively outbidding by 1.

@Oliver230230230_PSN Best guess is that they lifted the restrictions, so the bots are back to take over the market.

There are still bots when the restrictions are enabled, but they are not as aggressive as they are now, nor are the margins as depressed.
