Companion App V6.7.1 is out
-
Our best bet is to make it impossible for anyone to operate at super-human speed...
-
@Manu__SDS_MLBTS well if that’s the case then that’s a good end goal
-
@Manu__SDS_MLBTS first off - the actions taken in the last week ARE making a huge difference. The majority of the feedback I’m reading is that even when running into unwarranted restrictions, it’s undeniable that bots have been severely crippled. If you guys want to hire that guy who can make the insta-filter, that sounds pretty sweet, but if we are all going to continue in reality, I think a few tweaks to the way things are atm would be beneficial.
I still think a majority of the bad actors can be denied access by restricting the app to legit devices operated by a human. Personally, I’m not sure how that’s done but I imagine there are ways to identify incoming connections as virtual machines or behind VPNs or connections using IMEI against known blacklists. Before thinking of all the things that could change that would suit me personally, I think the restrictions coming on just from navigation the app is too sensitive right now. I understand that loading a page or refreshing a page are all things requiring calls to the api, but those actions should not carry the same weight towards restriction as placing or deleting bids. IMO. I’ve also read some people say they have been restricted in the middle of opening packs and selling the content, that doesn’t seem right. I don’t use the app to open packs myself, but I think people that do open packs in the app, should have an exemption towards restrictions when opening packs and listing the content… in fact, to sum up my current thoughts, navigating the app shouldn’t count towards restrict able behavior. And opening packs and selling that contents should be exempt as well.BUT - the market has integrity at the moment and that is a big deal.
-
Also - meant to say that from pov using console, the market is functioning better then ever. I know the majority of users aren’t weird hyper app users like most in this forum, but I imagine the common user will be very pleased to interact with the market right now if they haven’t been permanently turned off to it from trying in the past.

I recently tried to open a new account, but I found that my account seemed to be blocked, as it was unable to obtain any data in the app. However, when I logged in using a browser, it worked normally. I don't understand why

Haha I love snarky Manu. While it is unfortunate that we can be restricted after just a few orders, the market feels MUCH better. This morning I went to place orders for the spotlight cards to get that collection done, but after every 3 orders I did have to wait that minute or whatever for the restriction to end. So there are still inconveniences, but definitely the last few weeks are miles ahead of where we were back at launch and April.

Can’t log in yet again I am a late adopter to this game 26 is my first one with all of the issues I’m still very excited it’s really an awesome game I just hope that all of the issues get worked out
-
Bought some cards while on console and while updating my watchlist to remove them in the app, I was restricted. Never actually placed or cancelled an order, just opened card pages and un-hearted them.
-
Got the restricted alert on the app 7 hours ago, switched off the phone, played on the console. Just thought I’d open the app now to sell some of what’s becoming a stupidly large backlog of cards and I’m still restricted?
Anyone else in this situation or do SDS assume I’ve transitioned into a robot?
-
Just tried logging on to the website marketplace page and as soon as I click on a card up pops the restricted message.
Is there any way to check if I’ve somehow been banned? Cause this restriction has lasted a mental amount of time here.
Console works perfectly fine, but the app and the website here won’t let me do [censored]

Back to where I can't login. I get "an error occurred when trying to login" after selecting xbox.
I can login on the website, just not the app, which seems to be the same issue that was happening a few days ago.

none of yours account are banned or restricted
-
@Manu__SDS_MLBTS I didn't think it I was restricted or banned. I'm just posting that I'm back having the same issue that I was having 6 days ago. I can log into the website just fine and place buy and sell orders, I just can't log into the app again.
I don't know if the issue is with Microsoft or SDS.

Here are screenshots of what I’m experiencing on the app, it sounds like there are different issues for different people occurring that are unrelated to account restrictions:

I get that I'm not REALLY banned or restricted, but I keep getting the restricted message every 4 transactions in the app, and can't continue without closing and re-opening the app.
-
@Gary-Hoggatt_PSN that happened to me last night and was happy to see this morning it was working again. It may be something after so many notices it puts it to sleep for x hours.
I’ve been much more careful today and just closing app after every 2 buy or sell bids

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS whatever you did, I appreciate it. I’m back in now.
Obviously I wanna avoid this again, so any advice on what to do? How many seconds do I give it until I list the next item?
I basically have a system where I open the packs on the console, then after a while I’ll go through pack history on the app and just list things as quick as I can to get it over and done with. Usually it’s bronzes and silvers (standard packs).
Should I be giving it 10 seconds between listing something and then touching the screen again?
The way I do it, it’s an absolute nightmare finding my place again if I close down the app and reboot.
Any advice would be great.
