Companion App V6.7.1 is out
-
Now my account says I am restricted every time I click on a player and it kicks me out, not just when I’ve placed more than 10 orders in quick succession.
-
@whyme76_XBL same thing has happened to me.
-
This post is deleted!

It seems to slam the brakes with restrictions every 5-10 transactions. I appreciate the effort to prevent the bots, but real human should be able to make a couple of dozen transactions without getting hit.
-
I would like to see a screen grab of the API limiter kicking in: as fast as I can tap "create order" - which is the shortest repeatable market-changing action - I can almost never hit the limit... Unless there is something I do not know about the app!
-
Within the noise of the forum, I was able to pick a few very good suggestions which helped the most recent work - I appreciate the help
Not many can be that diplomatic with that description, kudos to you.

I posted 4 buy orders on Troy Glaus and now it won't even bring up the order pop up and I get the warning pop up.

Thanks!
That rejection is not from the API limiter, otherwise it will also indicate how long the cooldown is;

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS Still can't QS an item. I get the following error: Request verification is temporarily delayed. Retry after the backoff window.
This just happens when I try and QS and item. Placing a normal buy and sell order works.
I've already updated to 6.7.1 and I'm on the android OS.

Ive updated to the new version of the companion app and now i cant login. I keep getting a try again message. Is anyone else experiencing this?
-
So.... Why was it being rejected?
-
I agree! Same issue constantly. I hit the limit at exactly 11 orders every time, even if I hit post, wait 2-3 seconds, post, wait 2-3 seconds etc.
-
No clue. Thats why I'm asking the community. There should be no reason.

I have used ps5 in the last couple hours and the marketplace has been smooth sailing from there. I did the use app on iOS for a couple minutes and ran into being restricted pretty quickly. Recently when triggering the restriction error with a cooldown period, I was still able to see the buy/sell page of all items. I never saw a timer or notification of a time limit, just a red pop up saying your account is restricted. I just got that error now, but I was not able to view the buy/sell page of items. It seemed similar to the time I was restricted for a week where I couldn’t view details of items, like trends or completed transactions. After a few minutes I tried again and it worked. From being around the forum for a little, I got the sense that the time I was restricted that I obviously triggered some kind of automated restriction that existed on a level beyond the app. If that makes sense. Like, it seemed like my account was restricted and not being able to use the app was part of that. I think here you’re saying there are restrictions within the app that limit accounts’ interactions with the app. But when people have been restricted for a couple days or longer, I think there is some kind of restriction put in place that is not triggered by the app… does that make sense?
Anyways, for now. On console the marketplace itself seems wonderful. On iOS, I did run into a restriction quickly. I’m sure I’ll run into plenty more. Which is not ideal, but if there’s no bots to compete with, I can get used to the idea of putting in a bid and leaving it.

It must be from the timer though. I’m attaching a screen recording of what we see here: link text
-
this is exactly what has been happening to me, in video form.

@Gary-Hoggatt_PSN @manu__sds_mlbts
Here is another strange example of a glitch where I placed a few orders, went into another card and backed out because it was taking a while to load the quick sell, and when I clicked on the next card, it restricted my account without even placing an order: link text

@whyme76_XBL yup, I've had that happen, too.
-
Good feedback! We'll continue to refine the algorithms

Welp, I've updated the app once again, still the same error, can't log in
Five days and counting, might as well just get rid of the app at this point
