Card reveals for Friday 6/5 Drop
-
@GoozeFn_PSN increasingly convinced that TA is only in the game now to make sure no one is left out at the beginning (as well as to max out how many legends they can have at launch without giving us cards for the backbone L&FB series, like I’ve mentioned)
after that they don’t really care and will just fish for big market money or sell whoever they think will go down with the most people (or get them the most money)
-
I know Steve Carlton was at his best as a Phillie and that they should get the most cards of him. But he did play 7 years in St Louis and had a 20 win season with them and 3 years of sub 3.00 ERAs
This is the 5th Carlton Card since he was reintroduced and all have been for the Phillies. I am a huge Bob Gibson Fan but as long as I remember he has been the only Cardinal Legend pitcher.
Plus the Phillies have 5 diamond starting pitchers and the Cardinals have 2

I am apparently having issues this morning - deleted post

mistaken post - removed

I think that's true for starters. You have Sutter this year as a "Mural". I see Lee Smith as a Cardinal in 21. Oh - I see Cy Young (!) as a Cardinal in 21 as well. Dennis Eckersley in 24.
For starters, you have "pre-legend" Liam Doyle

-
@Dolenz_PSN This is exactly what I’m talking about. This would be a perfect time to give him one for the Cardinals. Same thing with Piazza. It’s always Mets or Dodgers. He already has a Mets card. He’ll eventually get a 99. Why not make this a Padres card? He had a great season at the end of his career as a Padre.
-
Every year, this game has SO many catchers who can rake. Sometimes gets to a point where you wanna just field a team of 5 catchers.
Its extra funny since catcher is historically NOT a great hitting position
-
@Dolenz_PSN guess that was the ‘**** ******’ hint
-
So whats the consensus on the bosses? Seems like Clemens for sure, and then maybe either Devers or Ryan Howard?
-
@Pergo_MLBTS Howard has a nice swing but his cards are rarely useable cause of vision and defence.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS think it’s Howard, in which case Mike Piazza being a path player would be a red herring
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN That's what I am thinking as well.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL would love to see waino and carp added. Would help cards pitching.
-
Man they aren't previewing many cards at all so far.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS Looks like Fenway. Devers or Varitek.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN Yeah good catch on Fenway. Devers would be a lot more exciting I think, but that doesn't quite look like his stance to me. Could be wrong though.
I wonder if its just a coincidence that they release a Red Sox and Yankee boss the same day they start a series against each other.

How many inning starts dont have both a red sox and a Yankee in them?

This is the first inning where the bosses are a Red Sox and a Yankee.

Ruth/Doerr? Back when they were still pretending the card was a third boss at least.
-
They have too many Yankee fans and not enough baseball fans running the show
