Has there ever been a time?

@Onix_Savage22_PSN They can’t figure out how to make a third of inning count. They can’t figure out how to fix any of these bugs, shrinkage, dread lag and all the problems with the game. They can’t figure out how to stop cheaters and bots, but they have some elaborate system that picks and chooses who gets what? Does that really make any sense to anyone else?
There is such a thing as streamer odds. Developers use backend management tools to inject items directly into a specific player’s User ID or account profile. EZPZ

You are a fool if you don't think SDS does these things. All gaming companies (right or wrong) believe that streamers promote their game.

Well, streamers are a huge part of the community after all.

I got 85 Heliot Ramos in 2 straight WBC packs today. Supposed that was random too given all the other possibilities that could be pulled I just so happened to get him twice, so 2 for 2. That’s just the most recent example of that happening to me this year.
-
It's worse this year. Every year there is a contingent of players who complain all year how that year's version is the worst ever. This year there seems to be more of them. So much so that I find myself participating less. As I get older I just don't need that much negativity in my life.
As for pack odds (I can't speak of wheel odds) the odds for every single card available in a pack is listed on SDS Website.
The Show Pack Odds
https://mlb26.theshow.com/drop_rates?pack_id=10222You are 95 times more likely to pull an 85 card than you are a 94 (Ohtani)
- You have a 1 in 2,500 chance to pull any given 85 Overall card
- You have a 1 in 12,500 chance to pull Ohtani
Here is the breakdown

All things are not equal though. There are five 93's listed in the pack. One live series (Judge) and 4 Mural Cards. The odds of pulling Judge are 1 in 12,500 while the odds of pulling Bob Gibson Mural in a Show pack is 1 in 50,000

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL I’ve been extremely critical of the game this year. I’ve said multiple times this is the worst year of the show. I’ve also said there’s probably nothing they could do to get me to buy the game next year, for the first time ever. You’re still wrong on this.
-
@DemIsE4_XBL I don’t believe that at all. One of the few I watch is daddydimu and he has horrible pack luck.
-
I think most of us are raising our eyebrows at the sheer number of duplicates. That makes it seem very strange. While 85s might be relatively common, the fact you can pull the same exact card repeatedly seems a little predetermined and not so random.
In other words certain cards with the same rating seem to be pulled far more often than others which shouldn’t happen as much as it does in this game. I remember it being like this in previous versions of the show but this year is noticeably worse.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN exactly! Thats why i think its pre determined odds. Or game influenced if its not pre determined. Certainly isnt random..
-
I haven’t been in the forums this long and I’m just wondering, has there ever been a point where the community has been this fed up and outraged by a mlb the show game or product.
- People DID NOT LIKE the overall setup.
But message boards aren't the metric SDS cares about. If Overall Minutes Played goes down across the user base, they'll make changes.
Everything else is just noise.

I started participating in the DD forum in 2020. I had played RTTS for years, so I had a lot of questions about how DD worked. There were a lot of folks who were really cool and patiently gave advice. There was certainly negativity, but I don't remember it being this bad. There were a bunch of guys I followed out here because there posts were hilarious (i.e. @schnauzerface_psn ). Sadly, many of those folks have moved on.
In short... Seems way more negative now, to me.

I can understand that especially for the 85 overall cards since there are 19 of them.
Getting the same card back to back would not be unheard if but it should not be common.
I am more inclined to assume it would be a quirk or bug in the RNG instead of some type of manipulation.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN [censored] this game.

@Dolenz_PSN happens way too often. Duplicate cards. There are 19 85s ok. But how many 85s through 87s are there. 30? Odds of pulling duplicate diamonds in this range are 1 out of 30 twice, should be less than a 3.33 percent chance of happening. And it happens all the time. Im correct see below.
ANY Matching Pair: 1 in 30 (3.33%)
If you just want to know the chances of the second card matching whatever the first card happened to be:
The first draw doesn't matter: You have a 100% chance () of pulling something.
The second draw must match: Since there is only one of that specific card back in the deck of 30, your odds are 1 in 30. -
So anytime you pull back to back same cards in the 85 to 87 range you just hit a 3.33% chance.

@allday9128_PSN fair I was just coming to see if this year is measly getting blown out of proportion or rly is that bad.
That all depends on who you ask lol.
I've been browsing through these forums since theshownation days and its always been the same.
Should've been here whenever Ramone got caught mocking the people complaing about line drive outs after he thought a stream ended. Those were the good ol days lol
-
Its just like this every year. And its usually the same people that just flood the forum with non-stop complaining. Every year its "the game is dead", "players are leaving the game", "when <insert new game> comes out there will be nobody left". And they'll all be back next year saying the same thing.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN it’s bad every year but this is by far the worst.

@Pergo_MLBTS there are alot of valid complaints. Thanks for having our backs though. Everytime someone has a valid complaint and someone comes in behind them and says they are just a complainer etc. Contradicting complaints and calling most people habitual complainers does act as counter productive to all the valid complaints. We are the consumers they are the corporation that makes money off our satisfaction. Which side do we all fall on? If its theirs fill out an application.

Incessantly complaining and coming up with conspiracy theories is also counter productive to the actual valid complaints.
