How are you doing with the XP Reward Path?
-
I've stopped caring. In fact, I don't even touch Diamond Dynasty mode anymore. I'm done with even thinking about cards and packs, etc. I still to the other, more traditional modes. I usually just play offline seasons with the real MLB rosters, or Road to the Show. When you wake up and realize that DD is nothing more than a scam and don't touch it, you enjoy the other parts of this game much more.
But then today in ranked I have 5 fantastic games down in the sub 400’s 450’s where we all play 9 innings and no one quits.
Thats the joy of this game of baseball. The multiplayer wheel needs to roll over IP instead of stopping at 9.
I hate that they do that [censored]. If you pitch 8 innings and need the 9th inning roll those innings over instead of making people quit at 8 or 1, or whatever they need to reset the IP.
So many god damned quitters that leave you with a one inning to wheel and now you can play 9 and get credit for 1
To clarify :
If you need 1 inning to get the 5k in multiplayer- why do you stop the progress at 1 inning and get 0 credit for the other 8 innings?
They encourage douchebag behavior
And they purposefully made it that way to F you over so you’ll play more.
So now I have to segment my 9 IP with people who do it at 2-3 and quit, no one wants to play a complete game of baseball. And SDS should know how to segment an inning into thirds by the way.
But they don’t because it’s too fre akin hard.

115k I think. I've largely given up on getting any of the bosses this year, there just isn't enough XP available if you don't have time to grind. Last year I hit all three in each inning (including buying the third because I wasn't crippled by a card cap when investing), this year I don't have a single boss. Shifted more into RTTS lately.
I really loved DD. It's a shame SDS turned around and shot themselves in the foot like this

I have 270k XP in the season, I'm pretty sure I will get it done if I don't frequently go to other places irl because then I cannot bring my PS5. The depressing part is that there is not enough XP to grind besides the classic/play now game GOAT difficulty XP method. I already got tired of doing that method cuz even though I hit many dingers, its not as fun because I still can't strike out batters frequently even with the 0 overall twins roster I downloaded.

@capardo_XBL Exactly.
Many have highlighted this, so it's a genuine issue, and one they have yet to address.
BTW KDJTV did a good little video on this today.
-
If they do address it and by the time they do other games will be pulling people way, some games already have because the feeling is the time you put into it isn't rewarding you enough. If you put a full day into grinding and only accomplish 5-10% of the path fir a whole day grinding...you feel you wasted your time. Last year I mostly only played baseball, this year it fulfills 40% of my time. That is a massive drop and I'm certain I'm not the only one

I should finish it this week, I'm currently at 360K.

I mean, I’ll throw out something “easy” that could be done.
SDS will give us a “special card/bonus” in mini seasons for meeting certain criteria. For example, win 11 games on AllStar and get Nimmo in the New Threads mini seasons. It’s one time and non-repeatable.
How about giving a one time, non repeatable bonus for playing a 28 game , 9 inning mini season (within that mini season). That’s a long grind, but make the reward worthwhile. Like 100k XP worthwhile.

I’m at 65% between offline play and the mural event.
-
@capardo_XBL 100k XP would be more than the entire 1,2,3rd drops for the xp. Make it a little lower and that should be fine

I reached it last night and chose Soto who I immediately sold for 110K. I was able to get the last 6 cards needed for the April Retro Lightning and got Chipper.
