Maybe EA makes a new MLB game instead of making Mega Baseball 4.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did, if we're being honest. I think EA could probably take a look at the state The Show is in and at least thinking about jumping back in

I can't believe EA would publish a non-licensed game. At least one that didn't look like an N64 game.
MLB said multiplatform or we don't renew the license, license was never exclusive.

As much as I would love another baseball game, I don't think I could stomach another EA sports game. As much as SDS is invested in stubs and DD, EA games are just obscene with virtual money grabs.

You would think after making over 20 games they would finally fix some stuff. Game is glitchy probably worse than 25 in my opinion. Step it up MLB this is embarrassing.
Don't put all the blame on SDS. Share some with MLB.
If the game had stayed as a PS exclusive, you would have a much better product and possibly (probably) another choice of game as another company made an XBox game with an MLB license.
But SDS made the game cross-platform at MLB's demand and now has bugs for three systems to worry about.
Well, if MLB the show had stayed PS-exclusive, non-PS users would criticize SDS for not being cross-platform, and would demand for that.

If anything is holding the game back it's the Switch or anything Nintendo makes ever being up to par with either PS or XBOX. They will always cater to their cartoony exclusive titles all day everyday. That's their meal ticket Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid ect. I own both the Switch and Switch 2 so its not a knock just the truth. On a side note though I have seen plenty of players, streamers, making the leap from PS to Xbox this year. Kinda wonder whats going on with that though? Is the game just playing that much better on Xbox this year? I have an Xbox, never owned a PS5 so that might be for the PS5 crowd to chime in on.

Funny how a game that used to be exclusive to the PlayStation now works better on another system. If that doesn’t tell you this game is dead I don’t know what else does. It was fun while it lasted but it’s officially toast.

Yeah I don’t know why I thought this year would be different. They added a different hitting system no one uses and finally made franchise better…. They never do anything with the little details. No new cleats, batting gear, sleeves, chains, etc. no new balance batting gloves or batting guards. The Nike sleeve that’s been outdated since 2019 that no ones wears is still in the game. No diamond necklaces .
still no bull pens in create a stadium. It’s 2026 and we have pitchers still warming up in foul territory
.You would think by now they could add a little velocity to sinkers bc apparently they max out at 95 mph for everyone
️. No kick change added. A lot of guys throw that now. The 2 seamer still doesn’t move at all and tops out at 97 ….No 6 pitch mix , no home and away jersey presets so we don’t have to change our players gear every home and away game… is it that hard to add another jersey preset? Still not baby blue or color wheel so we can edit our own colors, the “light blue” they have is terrible. It’s 2026 and they haven’t fixed the bugs or any of the small details..
And last but not least, I never thought the lack of face scans of top prospects could get worse than last year but the devs proved me wrong again. They’re missing almost all of the top prospects from this year and still a bunch with out scans from last year … how do cam schlittler and Drake Baldwin still not have scans? Nolan McLean, Samuel bassallo , Chase burns , bubba chandler, cam smith, Sal Stewart
Out of the top 10 prospects this year they have 2/10 scanned… no Kevin McGonigle, max Clark, walker Jenkins, Leo de vries, Jesus made, Noah Schultz, Parker messick, colt Emerson, Carson benge, AJ Ewing, etc…..
They’re constantly updating their little card game every week tho…. The rest of the game is pure garbage and Idk why I bought this [censored]. I still haven’t even played it and it’s almost June. I wish they stayed play station only so we had another option or so they have competition to actually put effort into the game…: yall ruined baseball and the only baseball franchise and turned it into a card game….. pigs

They don’t have scans because those players don’t go get themselves scanned. Guess what else they don’t have. Most of them don’t have their real batting stances or pitching windups.

That’s likely an XBox vs PS5 thing. Nothing to do with the game.

This year's game is terrible, takes way too long to do anything. They removed 66% of the cornerstone programs and removed repeatable XP for completing miniseasons. They turned hitting into a fly ball simulator; pitching is a joke. You need to play almost perfect games to ever stand a chance. They are trying to move much of the content behind a paywall, forcing people to play online. Instead of 3-4 perfect/perfect outs per game, my suggestion is to change it so that when you get a perfect/perfect, it just displays "F*ck you". I will never play online, mostly because of the cheaters, and I won't be forced to. Any game where the developers feel it's their job to constantly find ways to make the game more difficult really has lost touch with what they should be doing. Hire some developers who may have at one time done more than watch baseball, maybe some who actually played. Last year's nonsense with making bunting more difficult is a perfect example. Players found a way to use strategy to win, so the developers need to stop that. If they concentrated half the energy on stopping people from cheating online, maybe then they'd get some more people to actually buy into their preferred business model. The disconnect with the people who actually play the game is why La Grasa was created last year. make it impossible to earn pxp... well, someone found a way to avoid sending them money... They obviously needed to put an end to that.
