Made the decision to turn casual

Had to upvote since 199 hours in and still about 800k from LS collections and I think 13 vouchers from Miggy.
My favorite part might be Chipper collection. I have done almost everything you can do in the game and have 2 of the cards needed to get him out of the 12. Yea 2. Absolutely comical at this point.

That pretty much sums it up.
-
@DemIsE4_XBL yep im about 200 hours in and still about 1m away from live series. Still need judge and ohtani. Yeah 1m
-
Me too. At like 177 hrs and still missing 12 top live series diamonds including all the heavy hitters like Judge and Ohtani.
Best pull from a pack was Skenes. Still numerous vouchers short of 99 miggy. I know it’s supposed to be a grind but this feels miles away.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I feel you, I also dont have the 95 miggy yet. Dont want to spend the stubs until I have live series completed. Thats why I didnt get excited about the legend collection. I knew most of us with some semblance of a life wouldn't get miggy for months. Why put out the legend collection when you know 97 percent of us arnt close to finishing live series yet?? Another slap in the face. Live series isn't really meant to be finished until middle of June early July I know. So why not wait to put the first legend out until June.

@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS the combat is the only reason I have played it yet. I payed the first one, spent about 5 hours trying to figure out the combat, and then quit.
It looks amazing tho.
You aren’t wrong tbh. It’s still a indie company so the game is janky in ways and combat is one. But it’s also a indie company, so the devs make one game and it’s full heart and soul stuff. It has one of the most immersive storylines I’ve played in a while. Which normally I don’t like unless I can play how I want, and my god can you do whatever you want in that game lol.
Also wolves were killing me until I upgraded my skills for combat. That is a huge part of the game and a bit annoying. You’re kind of meant to be fodder at the start so when you meet the random NPCs they teach you things your character doesn’t know yet. It’s sort of by design to be really tough to kill anything because you can walk through the game right to the boss kinda like Fallout games.

@LIONED-33_XBL Konami does the same thing with Fifa every year. They trick all the people mad at EA into thinking PES is an actual game because the graphics are on par but the gameplay is a decade behind FIFA and even more scripted.
They still make Yakuza games over in Japan that sell like hotcakes. They play like the Yakuza games I played 20 years ago. Japan loves arcade like games, not realistic type games. I would love to see them succeed. The odds are lower than a Ballin is Habit pack.
-
That’s what I did this year and it’s been great. I’ll hop on to play co-op with friends. It’s nice only needing a couple players lol. I can do a quick program and get a new one who’s alright enough to be on the team. After they removed that ohtani market cap I realized this is really stupid an I won’t grind for it.

I think people holding out hope for the Konami game are going to be disappointed. It looks great, but the gameplay is awful. It was a huge letdown in my opinion.
no it's not. the game is hard to hit with. it's not easy like SDS makes their game.
plus the one on ps5 is a demo version. the full version will play different.
-
Nah, I think that's because you've been conditioned to SDS's wacky ball physics/flight physics. It's significantly more challenging to square anything up, and the result of the swing actually matches the contact itself.
It's a bit less arcadey, which will throw you for a loop if you're expecting gameplay like MLBTS. I'm not out here saying it's gonna blow the doors off or anything, I think personally it's a bit better in terms of a baseball sim and worth another look- this time with the full game.
exactly! the ps5 version they released is very HARD to hit. you have to actually read the pitches unlike SDS where they make everything easy for the user.
Ppl want arcadey like the show and then when they can't do well in the other game, it automatically isn't good. lol . never their fault!
-
@doobiebross66-72_PSN That's what I have been playing. I decided MLB the show will just be something I play when I feel like it. Can not longer put all my playtime into a game the Devs have shunned a large portion of its users on.

My opinion of the game has nothing to do with it being hard. I would prefer a game that was harder and not arcade like.
