I don't expect them to go Reliever for the Lightning Card, but aside from Yordan the only other Lighting Card-worthy player I can think of would be Mason Miller.
Mason Miller is an 89. Maybe he is getting a decent bump in the roster update Friday that would give him two cards too similar to each other.

I love how they FIX things that did not need fixing. 2 (3 games ?? are blurring together) games ago this program was perfect outside of maybe a touch grind heavy but easy to fix that but instead last year they switch to this format. --- this screams of a business move someone from high up so not blaming the people that we hear about in streams I am blaming a suite at the top for this stuff just to be clear.

All of these cards make sense. Stoked to get Walker - not a huge deal he’s in a pack, I’d guess we get a free pack in the program.
I could be wrong but I believe the retro lightning collection said 11 cards prior to today’s update so I’m guessing the pack will make it easier to get the retro lightning.
Unless it’s tiered and there’s collections inside of it - IE 11 cards will get you the first guy. Similar to how they’ve done cityscapes etc.

I am going to wait to lay down a verdict on this until it's released but my gut tells me I will be back and not happy when I post about this again in a few hours but I hope I am wrong.

@Dolenz_PSN I agree, but Yordan's in the same boat as well with an 88 LS Card that should get boosted in a few days. Either way you go, you're going to have a Lightning Player with a similar OVR to their LS card.

I am surprised at no Shugart card. Winning pitcher in both game of a double header, something that hasn't been done in 30 years or more, for a guy not very likely to get a flashback card in the game, exactly what these card series are supposed to represent. didn't even need to be a good card,they could of slapped an 85 in it or he'll even a gold card of it.

As far as I could see he did not get a Topps Now card issued by Topps and the Spotlight cards are more for the entirety of the month.
Cool achievement though.

It's all a money grab. Every collection is the same thing. Only get a few cards by playing and everything else ridiculous pack luck (better chance of walking out the door getting struck by lightning on a sunny day) or buy the players.
Best cards every Friday is a chase pack which seems like .00001% chance to pull unless you're a streamer/partner.

Soriano seems like the most likely I am guessing. Don't think we'd get another Yordan, but I wouldn't mind if we did. I am still using his live series card and it mashes, and since there is no way I am getting this new card today I'd love for it to be Yordan since I wouldn't really need it anyway.
