Input delays/ignoring?

Having issues in the event right now, seems to be a constant thing. Fielders are either ignoring inputs or there’s a huge delay even when pre-loading the throw.
I had two examples in my last game alone: #1- tailor made double play ball, shortstop lobs the ball to 2B, as it’s in the air I preload the throw to first…except he catches it and stays in the “primed” position.
#2 was a dive input that the fielder simply ignored it and still ran to watch the ball roll by.
With the delay, again with preloading the throw, they seem to stop, drop their arms down in the “dead play” stance, and then throw. Not blaming this for my losses, I’m below average this weekend, but holy smokes it’s definitely contributing.
Anyone else seeing this? It’s usually not a problem for me. New controller too
