Play your way, not for online players
-
I'd be interested in DQ or offline modes that give you reason to play higher difficulty like hall of fame (maybe you get a little more valuable rewards - like gold and silver packs instead of bronze and silver packs?) Its tough to justify playing HOF currently - for a bit more pxp and 8 percent more chance for reward?
I dont like "play how you want". Im from the old video generation - if you want all the stuff, you should have to beat all the modes. If the kid down the road wasn't good enough to beat the midnight death slayer on nightmare difficulty- well, he just doesn't get the reward for that. Now, we cry "I paid for the game too, I should get every reward!"

@rubicante23_PSN yes I agree with most of this statement. But when its only one card to obtain online vs 12 cards offline and the rest in packs of course lol. Its forcing way too much offline play. Same can be said vice versa. Alot of the offline players dont want to play online. Exactly my point.
-
But when its only one card to obtain online vs 12 cards offline and the rest in packs of course lol.
Why cant you just make a valid point without also being disingenuous?
Program cards can be obtained online, there is zero offline requirement. If you do moments thats entirely your choice, but they are optionalBut in their effort to make offline players feel like lesser beings with making offline cards no sell they hurt online players too. Online players should be able to buy the miniseason cards just like offline players can buy the MP program rewards or WC cards. Its not rocket science.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS To be fair, they are forcing people to do both. The vast majority of xp and really the only chance you have to complete the inning xp path is online.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS how am I not stating something correctly? For this program there are four or five cards in mini seasons, there are two in diamond quest and at least another card in conquest. Im sorry its eight cards offline and one card online. Not twelve. Tomato tomato.
. Bottom line is this. They took away most of the online grinds, like ranked season innings programs, and battle royale programs. Sds does a horrendous job at keeping both player bases satisfied lets leave it at that then. Everything seems to be false advertising. Play your way, pci shrinkage etc etc -
@GoozeFn_PSN yeah mini seasons was a drag to get that pxp I felt more forced to play offline. And city scapes ur not missing out on much a lot of this drop wasn’t amazing Micky is underwhelming for a Micky card. This program in a nutshell is pitchers are rly good hitters outside of happ and Rollins rly aren’t.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS It’s not rocket science. They are making everything no sell so people can’t run a program to make stubs and sell them. It’s not because they want you to feel like a lesser being. For ten years everything has been given and made for offline players beside one Griffey mission. They started to give players that tried their best online the 12-0 and WS rewards without even needing to win a game. They made DQ moments 9 outs instead of 3 for a base hit. Make a point without being disingenuous.
You need to play conquest AND mini season for mantle. What online mode are they making you feel lesser by playing? How many cards are online only? Less than one.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN no I would say you need to do both to complete the inning path. Tons of xp in mini seasons on the first run. Its both yeah.
-
@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS well said thank you
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS Not really. Way less xp in mini seasons than last year. 15k for this latest one. That’s nothing compared to the multiplayer program. This event alone gave 10k.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN what other online program besides the 10k for events do we get online? What other online programs give you xp as a reward? More xp for online game play? Does that make that much of a difference? You can play on all star offline and make close to the same. What am I missing? You get way more packs playing offline also. 10x more packs. Tell me please... where online can I grind and make 100s of packs? I stated facts brother. They force us online players offline ten times more then they force you offline players online. So yeah offline players need to stop complaining, because they have go win five lousy games, and actually try to compete against something that isn't a cpu.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS go look at the multiplayer program. It is littered with big chunks of XP. Way more than anything you get off-line. On top of that you get another big chunk at the very beginning of the event program. It’s really not close at all. No one‘s forcing you or anyone else to do anything. The problem is there isn’t enough XP anywhere. They’ve severely cut down the XP this year and gameplay XP is a joke even when it’s double XP.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN you do not even need to win games to get through the multi player program. Yes I forgot about how much xp is in there ill give you that. Most of us have that completed in a week. Easy to forget. But we certainly have a much harder time completing collections and grinding 100s of packs online ill say that. We are forced to play offline way too much.. they need to do a better job for both of us at the very least.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS I do both, so it’s not like I’m arguing for one side or the other. I’m just looking at this objectively. For those who really only want to do one thing or the other, it’s harder for off-line players. That’s a fact. Again, I think we can all agree, that we need more big chunks of XP all over this game.
-
I can agree with your last sentence 100 percent.
-
The city scape program gives you one card to obtain online, events and maybe a pack. We have to play two mini season runs (it takes two runs through it to get what you need), a few dq runs (also probably takes two runs through it), and a entire conquest map to complete this program. All I ever hear are offline players complaining. They force us online players offline way more than they force you offline players online. I refuse to play vs the cpu on less than all star because im not going to lose my timing and make myself worse at the game. Which makes my offline grind a bit longer.
It took me one, 7 games, 9 innings plus playoffs, got plenty done. Just didn't do the TB for Martinez which I can do anytime
-
@samguenther1987_PSN guessing he was playing 3x7 which won’t get everything in one go
-
@samguenther1987_PSN guessing he was playing 3x7 which won’t get everything in one go
Yes, that would make sense.
I mean if your trying to get through as fast as you can of course the points won't be there

-
@Ditka06_MLBTS Oh, you only agree with the last sentence? Let me show you the facts then for the 2nd inning:
Online xp:
Multiplayer program - 90k
Current event - 10k
2nd inning tasks - 37k
Total - 137k online
Not even counting the other event programs because I don’t remember the xp and the disparity is so massive it doesn’t matter.Offline xp:
1 mini season - 15k
4 conquests - 17k
Total - 32kI’m not counting the programs or tasks that can be completed either on or offline for obvious reasons. Again, it is a fact that people who only play offline are in a much worse situation.
