FYI for ps5 dual sense controller people
-
Yes, please update how to map R2 as swing...I'm intrigued to test this out
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN Yes. It is basically a function of the controller that you can reprogram the buttons. It certainly can help disabled people or people with missing digits. I think they are referring to the $200 controller called the edge but there should be an option within the game to select alternative settings.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN oh I just have the basic controller so I may not be able to do it cause I looked through every form of settings on the show and couldn’t find it.
-
Does this work on the standard duel sense?
-
@GoozeFn_PSN
I am fairly certain you can but I am away from my console. Go to settings and see if there is a section for controls. -
@GoozeFn_PSN I couldn’t find a setting that allowed me to if u do please share cause I feel like this could help me a lot as I’m not hard wired to me router and I play on tv not monitor and as I stated I just have a normal controller no quick response or anything.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN if you want to reprogram buttons you going to need the dual sense edge. Also if your playing on a tv not hardwired, that would be the first thing to address otherwise your timing is always going to suck no matter the controller. This game requires a monitor to be competitive at the very least

You need the dual sense edge controller
-
I have the regular PS5 duel sense controller and you can program your keys but it is done on the PS5 and will change the position for anything you do. I has helped my hitting for sure but it has caused me pitching problems because I am not use to it.
To change button assignments on a PS5, navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Controllers > Custom Button Assignments. You can enable custom assignments, remap buttons (like L1/R1, L2/R2, and face buttons), and select "Apply". This works for standard DualSense, DualSense Edge, and DualShock 4 controllers. -
Guys. Please look it up. I’ve been doing this since the Edge came out. It’s not actually faster, just feels faster.
But…IN FACT, the back buttons have better response times than the triggers.
But alas, the trigger has been my go to and it is lovely. Check swings are fine, although there will be times that you go to swing and it doesn’t register. Just have to deal with it imo. Worth the trade off. You get used to it so quickly.
