@DemIsE4_XBL it’s rly sad not even just mlb just any online game ur going to run into it. I just don’t get the satisfaction these losers get from cheating. Like ur not good enough to win on ur own so u get something to win for u? Whats so fulfilling about that id much rather lose a close game to a good player and know i competed or played good not cheat my way to wins.

Some people just get satisfaction out of ruining the experience. Some do it to appear to be better than they are. Some do it for money (streaming). There is a ton of money to be made streaming along with other perks like better pack luck. Yea, don't feed me the bs that streamers don't get better packs. Looks like playful just opened a pack with Ohtani and Judge. Didn't watch the video but I'm sure he already has 6 figures in stubs and almost every card in the game. Also highly doubt that was his first time pulling those.

What does anybody really make streaming this game - maybe a few make an average income, in return for a ton of work and effort? There are streamers doing mostly other games that make bank - but they're doing it on the wings of being internet celebrities, and it doesn't have much to do with this game

Unlike all the “I played a cheater” threads in years passed, people actually are this year. It’s just kinda hard to tell because even when they cheat The Show is like “that’s baseball”

Apparently some pitchers somehow aren’t updated for the scripts all the time. So when you face a cheater and bring in certain pitchers they all of a sudden can’t swing after scoring like 7 P/P homeruns in a row. Pretty funny tbh. Still haven’t faced one so I doubt it’s as common as people say but I have seen pretty wild clips.

I played like 3-5 people last year that I legitimately thought were cheating and I had a ton of games last year. Easily surpassed that number already in like 10% of the games.

You've likely faced someone with one of the cheats. The chronus pitching isn't as obvious but plenty out there. Pretty prevalent so far this year.

I suspect people of using pitching scripts more often this year, their ability to throw perfect dots with low control pitchers all game makes is sus.

@iBonafideScrub__PSN ok so this, pitching has always been easier than hitting in this game. Same as in real life. We consider an mlb player a hall of fame for hitting 300. Only sport where you can fail 70 percent of the time and be inducted into the hall of fame. Most of us would lose our jobs if we failed 70 percent

@PriorFir4383355_XBL ii play pga 2k25 and I have seen the teliport ball i just chalked it up to me seeing things. But the chipping off the green from 50+ yards and constantly since long long put i do both regularly i just have a really good short game. I rarely hit Sand, water or rough cause I hit the fairway. On my own skill trust if they are going to be hack they won't be hitting anything but fairways and greens

Just played br. Guy was smart in some ways. Played the first inning and couldn’t hit. Second inning a pause, then hits three straight p/p homers. I bring in Rogers, pause. No longer can hit. But his pitchers were dotting the corners all game. I sent him a message and said don’t be so obvious when you turn off your script. He responded by telling me I’m just jealous. I responded by reporting him. Clowns are real. They don’t have to be scary. Report them.

Are you able to dot all game with 60-65 control pitchers?

If yes, I need to talk to you so you can help me pitch better.

Streamers cant cheat because they are recording every single game they play. The cheats show up on your screen, there is no way to hide it. I have also played many streamers and many cheaters over the past year, and there is a pretty clear difference. As for why streamers have so many stubs, its because they spend money on the game.

I just gave up 18 on all star. I throw dots and it didn't matter with 4 different pitchers. I lose a lot of games and I frankly don't care. This guy was rated around 490. I used different pitchers because I wanted to test if he hit all of them. Seeing an awful lot of low rated people that hit everything and take pitches an inch off the zone. It is really bad and will only get worse because this cheap [censored] company isn't going to do anything.

Yea there are a ton of chronus' out there. All can be seen through the API. Not hard. Just have to make an effort. Even if you can't ban the devices, you can ban the player.

Doesn't do anything. I have reported a few people and think I am banned from reporting. They will just brush it under the table and think it will go away. It will get worse when people realize there are no repercussions.

@TheRupster12_XBL do all streamers cheat no. Because you are right, their livelihood depends on the game. Getting caught cheating would be the end of them. But i guarantee you there are cheaters in the streaming community.

That's why I took SDS_Joe to task a bit. SDS talks a tough game with regard to cheaters, but they do very, very little to counter it. Even when an easy method to keep cheaters from hurting the game is handed to SDS on a silver platter, the reality is they refuse to spend any money and time to fashion systems to prevent that cheating from happening.

For the record, we all need to know that Joe is merely a messenger. He doesn't lift a finger here unless his supervisors authorize him, and there are times when the same supervisors tell him to ignore people or even sub-forums.

SDS is all about money. If they calculate the effort doesn't make them significant money, they don't care to do it. Telling customers that SDS is aware of cheating is very cheap to do. Doing anything about it, other than saying they are doing something about it, costs money and requires a foreseen profit motive.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL well plenty of games have failed because cheating became so prevalent. Look at texas chainsaw massacre a few years ago. Game was dead within months because cheaters took it over. Cheaters can absolutely destroy a game and make regular players never return if it gets prevalent enough. That is money.

I agree. The trick is to convince the company that makes the game of that reality before the point of no return is reached. But, to do that, you have to be dealing with a company whose leadership genuinely seeks out customer feedback and actually reacts to it with integrity, honesty, and sincerity.

Anyone here believe those standards apply to SDS?

@mhenry23_PSN -- For the team's part, there is a lot of work behind the scenes to improve the situation, so please don't mistake judicious communication with inaction.

For the community's part, talking about specific methods of how these things work only serves to make the problem worse. There's no upside. That's why the forum rules say members may not "Discuss specific cheating methods in detail." Those who do may be subject to suspension.
