What a garbage product this year. Just a cut and paste with zero effort. Tried a new path this year and decided to play Road To The Show, used Facescan. What a joke, I ended up being a black guy with green eyes and a two tone colored neck. I mean that would be great if I actually wasnt a white guy with brown eyes and not two different neck colors. Does this company actually give a F or are they just like yeah whatever. Im pretty sure I know the answer. Brutal effort this year. Not going to buy again for a long time.

And you haven’t even gotten to the part where your token multipliers don’t even work. Goals will just say you failed them even though you didn’t. They have the CPU baserunners make the most boneheaded decisions and get thrown out by 15 feet multiple times a game. All things people have brought to SDS’s attention but they have done nothing about in a month.

@genopolanco_PSN a month is not a long time in the world of software development, especially the first month post-release. I too hope the things you mention are fixed (CPU base running is dreadful and unrealistic but I don't think that one's going to go away) but unfortunately we can't expect them to be fixed in one month unless they were already on the to-do list.

What SDS needs to do is understand that gaming as a whole isn't as popular as it once was. The generations that used to play religiously (Millennials and Gen Z) are now adults or approaching middle age with more responsibility and less time to play...and less patience for a product lacking. Whether it be basic QoL stuff, lack of polish/refinement, or quality content. For me personally, MLBTS isn't quite at the "I've got better things to do/better games to play" stage yet. That's EA's NHL entry for me.

What this means is people won't be afraid of playing/doing something else, and makes some cast doubt on the viability of the next entry in the series. So while SDS might have got their money this year- next year they might not. Game developers used to put effort into launches, and even ongoing effort while actually listening to their consumer base. Now it just seems like they care more about making the lipstick look really good at launch, getting the money, then not even touching up the pig's look afterwards.

And I get it's a business, they have to have making money as their top priority...but when there's bug after bug after bug that's been around for years, or the same visual glitches that show up year after year, or ignoring features that need updating (SC) or refinement(Mini-seasons, DQ) and they get ignored it's not a good look to people.
