    The CPU is flat out obnoxious to play the vast majority of the time. Between the eagle eyed hitters not swinging at pitches right on or just off the corners, fielders making diving plays and covering way too much ground, and pitchers dotting up the zone like Greg Maddux it can be an extremely annoying grind.

    All of this happens even with common players on low difficulty levels which is ridiculous. If they were diamond players on high difficulty I could understand it but that is far from the case. I know it’s by design to make the game “challenging” but it’s super redundant and slows the grind to a snails pace.

    Yeah they do this on purpose so don’t expect to to change if anything it’s worse this year

    Or play the ball perfectly off the wall and throw a frozen rope to second base to get a 90+ speed guy out of what should be a stand up double.

    This exactly pisses me off more than anything else. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been thrown out at 2nd in what should have been an easy double.

    @easedel_MLBTS

    I don’t think that’ll apply to DD games vs CPU, unfortunately. Good tip otherwise, though

    Definitely too many web gems and every edition of this game has had a double play addiction for years.
    Still too many "perfect" outs that don't reach the warning track and "good" swing and misses at balls in the strike zone again this year.

    New frustration this year is that I'm getting blooped to death by the CPU. It's not like I've got Schwarber and Rooker out roaming the outfield either.

    @RShackleford_XBL I’ve experienced everything you states. Double plays and perfect line outs right at guys are way out of control but…..whatever.

    TBH I win on rookie in mini seasons but I have to think too much at times and pay attention

    There is no gap. Do not try to hit into the gap, it does not exist. There is only home run and fly out.
    I swear, completing home run moments this year feels 10x easier than completing 2 hits in a game moments, as the CPU will cover infinite ground.

    I'm catching up a bit finally but even the CPU pitching feels really fast even on rookie, there are times when the pitch leaves the hand of the pitcher and before I can even hit the button to swing it's past me. I'm using the practice mode more then I have for any other show game

    Hitting is not fun, I can't time up my swing at all so far, very late swings but I swing as soon as the ball leaves the pitchers hand, i'm not sure what else I can do. I know i'm not a great player but this is ridiculous this year

    Well I will say they have improved cpu vision this year, everything else is pretty similar to every other entry. Pitching against the computer is pretty simple all the way up to legend. Through fast balls high and inside and breaking pitches away and while sometimes they will get an obnoxious amount of fouls 8-10 times it ends in a strike out. Now goat you actually have to pitch like it's against an oppent because the cpu will pick up on pitching tendency. As far as diving plays it's always like this.

    I'm not having trouble winning games; however, the CPU pitches often seem to float this year. You kind of just got to wait out the floating pitches and balls. The relievers tend to throw more meatballs, especially if their main pitch is a 4sm.
