It's very early, but so far, the broadcasts seem empty. As if something, as in pizzazz is not there.
I've only watched and listened to the Mets home opener, and am watching D-backs/Dodgers right now.
I liked Matty V. in The Show('Oh, he botches it!!!,' 'Hit 'em with the Hein!!!),' but even he seemed subdued in the early game.
Maybe i should wait until I see the Sunday Night Baseball game to pass further judgement.
I feel the same about their NBA Basketball as well. Something vanilla about both broadcasts, to me so far....

I like Matty V, surprised FOX didn't get him to takeover when Buck left as the main guy. I was a teen in the 80s when NBC was doing Saturday double headers so seeing Bob Costas on the NBC broadcast tonight felt right.
They have a 3 man booth plus Kershaw at field level tonight and it feels clunky, prefer a 2 man booth and a field reporter who chimes in when theres something to report.

I'll pass judgement as soon as they let me watch one of their streams.

It does feel right with Costas there!
To be fair, my Mets broadcasts on SNY have a 3-man booth, but many say it's the best in the league. They have a field reporter as well. It used to be Kevin Burkhardt, before he became big at FOX!

I'll take it, I don't really listen to the mindless commentary of todays announcers in any sport. I'd rather just watch the game with volume turned low. Sometimes I'll even watch with volume completely off, and listen to some good tunes. I've been watching baseball 45 years, I don't need some jackas telling me what I already see. Besides, they don't make 'em like Scully and Keith Jackson anymore.
