We NEED to fix getting thrown out at 2nd vs CPU
-
I think I made a post or topic about this issue because I cannot believe that SDS literally ruins non-CPU perfect-perfects, makes CPU baserunners seem faster than 99 Carlos Beltran, 98 (PXPed to 99) Bobby Witt Jr, 90 Elly De La Cruz, 99 Mike Trout, 99 Xaiver Edwards, and 99 NLCS Shohei Ohtani. I honestly believe that an SDS employee or moderator shadow-deleted my post/topic because I can't find anything where I mention it even though I clearly remember mentioning it here.

@icebergslim7669_PSN This is so true.
-
The best is that the same outfielder who will drop a routine pop fly will also gun a guy out at second on a should-have-been-a-double down the line.
-
Got gunned out at first on a would be single to right field with Bobby Witt running, i know this happens in real baseball, but Bobby Witt is a 96 speed and it wasn’t a ball that was hit very hard to the Right fielder either.
-
@icebergslim7669_PSN how did this happen..the fielders don't cover first on hits to the outfield
-
@Stinkysman77_MLBTS yeah i didn’t think it was even possible anymore, haven’t seen it since maybe mlbts 23 i think.
-
I’m thinking he’s saying the 2B chased down a grounder into the deeper portion of shallow RF and threw him out…which unfortunately has happened to me as well. But hasn’t from the right fielder themselves in a few years

No it was a soft liner that dropped right in front of the right fielder, in an event game.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN hr clearly says it was hit to the right fielder
-
@icebergslim7669_PSN yeah..no one covers first so how did that happen?
-
Yes I almost threw out a slow runner at first with Judge. Was a pleasant surprise to see Polanco covering to give me the opportunity. Hadn’t seen this in a couple years. I was playing WBC Puerto Rico stadium.
-
No clue, a few years ago you could throw out runners from the outfield, but i know in the last couple of installments when you attempt to throw someone out , the first baseman is never at the bag. That’s why i was so surprised when it happened.
-
Yeah a few years ago I would only pull it off in custom stadiums. Throw out slow runner at first if hit right to outfielder. So it’s nice to have an attempt again. And I almost had one other day he just beat it out by half a step. Can’t wait to try again
-
Also think has something to do with the hitters speed determines if 1B covers. A few years ago it was a slow Rockies 1B that I got a couple times.
-
@kingdutch_PSN Yes. It does not seem that card ratings are taken into account when the computer is on defense. The CPU also turns a DP on 95% of balls on the infield regardless of how the ball it hit. For a "sim", there is almost no realism to how the CPU plays defense.
And then the big elephant in the room for the CPU...Pitching...98% balls or dots...again regardless of pitcher's rating.
-
@icebergslim7669_PSN they made ot so the first baseman doesn't cover because they couldn't figure out how to prevent players being thrown out at first on balls hit to right field.
-
-
Yeah I never had it happen once last year and had chances if 1B would have covered. But multiple throw outs year before so I guess it’s back.
-
@icebergslim7669_PSN Good point. I also feel like they round 1b way to far. Its like three or four extra steps.
