So let me get this straight.....
-
So SDS didn't allow us to transfer stadiums over from the vault.....cool, that gets rid of the cheating stadiums, gets rid of the same stadium being listed 8,000 times, and means we'll probably get a large improvement since it seems they're starting from scratch right....right?... Nope.... we don't get a single thing added, you still have to upload a stadium to the vault to download it as far as I can tell so the same stadiums are going to show up every couple scrolls still, and I basically sacrificed all the stadiums I spent time on the past couple of years and the only reason I can find that they had to do this was just because they couldn't find a better way to get rid of La Grassa than stripping everyones stadiums out of the vault. I know that the stadium creator is a niche mode, but almost everyone uses it at some point to download stadiums so the fact it hasn't gotten any upgrades is a bit crazy at this point.

It was one of the best things when moving to next gen. I really liked it when people would recreate old time stadiums that SDS has not done. I created a couple of college stadiums in previous years. It would be nice if SDS actually listened to what their community wants.
-
@ColtPythonx44_XBL its a niche mode because SDS ignores it
-
@Invinitee_XBL I agree, it would get a whole lot more usage if it weren’t pretty much exactly the same since 2021.
-
I thought for sure that they would update the vault. It is such a antiquated system that is hard to police
-
The vault thing was not done for any reason connected to improved customer service, nor expanded options within the game. It was done purely for reasons of spite. It was to show those stadium designers (also customers) who was "boss," who got out of line and managed to discover options within SC that SDS didn't want to happen.
So yes, it means nothing was done of course to improve how the vault operates, despite hundreds if not thousands of customer feedback requests that the vault simply allow a stadium to be uploaded once and folks could then download it and save it into one of the local console-based slots and play immediately. Nope, as you said, the ridiculous requirement that EVERYONE has to reupload to the vault to play that stadium means exponential increases in the same stadium on the vault without any reasonable basis.
If you don't know the rest of the story, just check out my posts at the Stadium Creator sub-forum. It's worth a read as to how we handed SDS on a silver platter how they could easily keep the cheat stadiums from harming online play and how SDS stubbornly refused that option.

Well the there is some conspiracy theory or persecution complex.
Since they did not update the vault at all I think it was simply a matter of them saying "We don't want to have to manually clean up the vault Stadium by Stadium or logo by logo so let's just delete everything and start from scratch"
The problem with that method though is that it does not address a single one of the issues that caused the problem in the first place. So if we end up with 10,000 Costco or Legrassa stadiums and 20,000 lewd logos I expect things to be wiped again next year.
I don't think it was spite though.

I would love it if the awesome stadium creators would be able to make stadiums for those of us that play RTTS mode. I’m not that patient lol I would love for created stadiums to be used in RTTS.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL “it’s worth a read”
Absolutely not. The ego on this one.
-
I would want them for minor leagues only because it gets really boring playing in the same 4 stadiums with different names over and over. That’s all i am saying. Some of these players that take the time and effort to make stadiums should get tge opportunity to let more players see and play them.

My son is a baseball history nut. He can tell you the manufacturer of every pirates on field uni dating to the early 1920s. Dodgers and Yankees as well. He loved to create or download and tweak historic fields. Even the cookie cutter 70s stadiums. Some people really dig that creator tool. Me, it isn’t a big deal. But I wish they at least brought all creation modes up to date and did something about the 59009 emblems on the game. Nothing better than logging into a game with my pre-teen daughter beside me and the opponent is rocking bare g-cups on their uni then won’t do a friendly quit prior to the first pitch.

Its a niche mode because most of us wanna play in actual stadiums not the garbage the community creates with UFOs or animals or other [censored]. We have to scroll through hundreds of pages to find actual stadiums.

It is worth a read, honestly. I know the guy outside of here a little bit, we’re both course creators for PGA as well and he’s quite knowledgeable. He drive home some good points and goes into great detail about the points. Just because you simply don’t agree with him, and don’t get me wrong you’re 100% allowed to and I respect that, and so does Prior…but that doesn’t mean he’s “got an ego”.

@Sarge1387_PSN there’s a wide margin between being disappointed/angry at something you care about and making every post about a perceived slight and outright conspiracy theories. At some point you have to let it go and either bite the bullet or stop buying. It’s not a fun solution, but stomping his feet and insulting the team will not get him anywhere.
Respectfully.
