Slow down the power creep!
-
I think last year, the power creep was going perfectly at the beginning but then SDS decided to skip 95-98s and go straight to 99s at the all star break. If they keep the speed at the beginning of last year, that would be amazing
-
I agree. If they give Nick Kurtz his first three 99s at launch, then his other fifteen 99s might start to feel less special as the year goes on.
-
I wish they would limits 99s to one per player.
-
@The_Bane_Event_PSN I’d say limit 99’s for 1 player on the same team. I have no problem with them giving the same player multiple 99’s on different teams.
-
@SchnauzerFace_MLBTS You spelled Kyle Schwarber wrong. Hell probably immediately get a WBC card this year too.
-
Don't agree with OP at all, been playing more since the all-star break release of 99s.
-
They could certainly get rid of the "issue" (I strongly disagree it is one) of multiple 99s if they didnt start releasing 99s until September for legends and October for current players. That would mean scaling back the juiced 99s that are really more like 115s
I have a bigger issue with constantly trotting out undeserving 99s like Mullins and Castro when guys like Snider didnt get one. Toss Sanchez into that mix too, sure people like his cards but there were so many catchers this year they could have had any number of better options for that lightning. These are guys where a well placed 97 is more than enough.
Its one thing if you do something in season worthy of a late spotlight card, but Mullins had a 0 WAR at the time he was traded.

SDS can slow down the power creep after I get my Luis Arraez WBC/Moonshot card with 125 vision and 125 power.

I liked the power creep last year but agree with what others have said...it basically went from 95-99 in 1 week. I was very excited for that month-long program in June for that 95 Sammy Sosa card. Got it on June 30th (earliest possible day) and within 10 days it was worthless due to all of the 99s dropping around All Star break / the MLB draft. I also understand the goal of getting 99's in by the all star break as most players leave the game by August / Sept. I generally hold out until Oct as I continue to play some (not as much) during the post season. But as with all sports games, i leave the game once the real-life season ends. But overall - starting at 90 vs 88 is probably the right call to avoid the 95 to 99 jump.
-
Well i feel they sped the power creep up this year because some of the push back on the game. I dont remember the exact date but when they broke out the 99's it seemed to coincide with the Madden Release.
-
@LIONED-33_XBL I suspect they are starting the power creep higher because of the early complaints last year about the hitting engine.

@GradektheBard_PSN no actually your opinion does not reflect the majority. Good try though
