Physical vs Digital Question on PS5

I have $10 off at a retail store and was thinking about using it to buy MLBTS 26 physical disc.
My question is if I want to play MLBTS 26 remotely on PS5, does the disc need to be in the system before I can play it remotely? I know for digital it will work automatically.
Same question about Xbox. For remote play, does the game need to be in the drive? I know for xcould it didnt matter when the game was on gamepass.

Not 100% sure about the Xbox because I have never bought a physicals copy of a game for it but on the PS5 you will generally need the disc in the PS5 in order to run the game. It acts as a anti piracy measure so that you can't buy one copy and install it on 10 friends PS5s
