I was a catcher and I watched that part of the break down closely. Thank you for not forgetting about us but plz SDS can you make the motions look for fluid and not as still. They look better do not get me wrong but it still looks robotic. The motions need to look like you are working through the ball with force.
Also PLEASE ADD CATCHER BACK PICKS. Why can’t elite catchers make plays on bad base runners? Like in DD why can I back pick guys with bad base running stats and low speed with guys like Ivan Rodriguez and JT? If people want to take cheesy leads and be dumb on the base paths can I please take advantage of that. Let mistakes hurt on the bases more please. It will add a healthy skill gap to the game. Plus as a catcher, no better feeling then back picking a guy (going yard beats it but u get my point).

I would honestly say bet that will come next year with more more animations. They're probably just implementing some now. You know as a trial and then bait you to get next year where they have doubly animations for catcher pop times. I would even say next year they would have foul balls or foul tips hit the catcher and possibly cause injury. Something so small but so real

@jake93436_PSN I like the thought with the foul balls, some reaction to them would be cool too.

I still badly want to back pick people. They need to add a stat for baserunning leads and jumps for stealing, a true pickoff stat or deception move(s) and catcher back picks. Let the running game have a skill gap and let the ability to shut down the running game be a skill game. I just feel like those are healthy competition balances that change maybe the meta of teams and gameplay. Idk just thinking in the spot.

You've been able to do back picks, however, I've never seen a successful back pick to any base.
