    I guess 2K having a full eras mode for franchise never happened. Pretty sure that's more substantial than maybe anything SDS has done since maybe 2021 when they crossed over to Xbox.

    the option is there for you to go play NBA 2k whenever you want if MLB s so trash...

    Question: why do so many of you defend SDS with your lives when your only excuse is call criticism "hate?" We pay SDS $70 dollars annually. Therefore, we should have a right to express our feelings about the product we purchase as consumers. The product is objectively poor. I've gone over this way too many times and have broken this down already so I'm not going to waste my energy right now. It's not hate, it's disgruntled customers who have been buying quite frankly almost the exact same game since MLB The Show 21, hoping for some sort of change, and what do we get: patch notes designed under a new release.

    @Easy_Duhz_It__PSN What are you talking about they’ve improved more than any other sports game on a yearly basis? They haven’t done one thing to improve the game between years that couldn’t have been implemented in a title update. The only thing anyone outside of DD has gotten in the past 5 years is high school and college in RTTS which takes up all of about 10 minutes of gameplay. You’re acting like SDS is walking on water when in reality the average player could play The Show 17 and have a similar enough experience to The Show 25. I mean I’m not one of those graphics over gameplay guys, but GTA5 was 1 year old the last time we had any substantial graphics change and with The Show 26 looking exactly the same GTA6 will be out before we get one. Their lack of improvement in the game on a yearly basis makes me think they’re spending 9 months out of the cycle focusing exclusively on DD and then throwing together a new menu and a couple bare minimum features starting in December so they can charge us $70 again in March.

    And of course: the big roster update that costs $70, just like every other game. Gotta agree with you here.

    If you go to the same restaurant every week for 5 years and order the same meal....then go to Yelp to post a review saying how bad it sucks, wouldnt it be your fault for going there expecting something different? You're the one choosing to spend your money and HOPING for a change. They do these livestreams every week for 5-6 weeks showing you exactly what they're doing with the game. Its your fault for buying it when nothing they do will make you happy. At least they're telling you before you spend your money.

    And yes you have a right a right to complain. And i have just as much of a right to roll my eyes and say that those complaints are stupid.

    What I choose to do with my money is my business, especially when there’s only one MLB sim that exists that you can actually play. I play mostly for DD, and after May or June, it just falls off for no explicable reason. I’ve played games from 19 years ago that are levels above The Show. Not sure how one can completely disagree with this, especially with this year’s release. I offer ideas as to how to make the game possibly improve (see my last few topics for more), so I don’t critique without offering any possible solutions

    Are there not enough negative topics and posts in this forum that we can't give people their one thread asking for some positivity without injecting negativity into it.

    @Easy_Duhz_It__PSN Your comparison doesn’t work because there are alternative restaurants you could go to so if you’re going to the same one every week there’s a good chance you actually like it. There is no alternative to The Show. You either cough up your $70 for whatever SDS rolls out each year or you don’t get to play an MLB game.

    Maybe not on XBox but PS5 has Super Mega Baseball 1-4 with over 200 MLB legends. Also, since people in here like to say the graphics are no better than NES, they re-released Bases Loaded last summer.

    It also doesn't matter whether or not one buys the game. SDS doesn't even give many people the incentive to buy at launch or even at all, especially at the well-inflated price.

    @DrBear100_PSN

    lol no kidding right!? That ball would come off the bat like a BB gun and you could dive with your guy and it didn’t matter if it hit your shoelace as you dove 8ft past the ball because when you came up off the deck you were firing that sucker to 1B because you KNEW it was in that glove. And there’s nothing like letting loose of one of those pitches where the catchers glove would literally detach from his body and follow that sucker [censored] for tat as your pitch defied physics haha looked like that opening pitch from the queen in naked gun!

    I remember there was one team it seems like that you could go to the bench and find someone out of the blue with like 30 homers that could crush the ball but the starter was far worse. Man that game felt like a quantum leap when it came out especially after playing that NES baseball where your entire team of players ran as one so if you had one of those horrible floaters that ended up stuck in the corner by the time you got to it your entire team was within ten feet of you and despite the fact that the opponent had touched home from his inside the park home run the stinking game would ablsolutely not continue until you finally made it to that baseball and picked it up. It was like ten yard fight but baseball that game holy [censored] hahha.

    I remember fondly man my buddy always picked the green and yellow team on Bases Loaded because he was an As fan at the time and I would pick NY because the colors resembled the Mets which was my team and we would sit there and battle on that game that had to be like 1987 omg 40 years ago? And I can’t remember hardly where I last took a dump (or if I even took one at all for that matter….which is actually more likely these days) but I can still remember his little ditties he’d sing when one of those totally randomly named players would crush one on me. There was Kraft…Lyonse…I had a guy named Star who could crush the ball and a pitcher named Carter which I would always claim he was actually Gary Carter trying his hand on the mound because his knees were shot from catching lol it was just awesome actually having someone on the team with a last name that corresponded with the actual roster.
