I don't understand the hate of Joe Buck . I think his voice is iconic to playoff baseball.

A couple of things:
A. Buck came to prominence during the Yankee's heyday so people tie his voice to their success.
B. Buck's booth partner, Tim McCarver, is literally one of the worst announcers of all time and chased away more fans than he brought.
C. Buck's work in football, rightly or wrongly, affects how people view his baseball calls. And for a LOOONNNNG time, Buck was a bad football announcer.

I'd rather listen to Matty V quip terrible dad jokes and one-liners than ever hear Joe Buck's voice again, quite frankly I'd work for the Mexican cartel before I'd ever listen to Joe Buck call another baseball game.

I would love to sit and have a long lunch with Tim Kirkjian. That guy knows so many obscure baseball stories! I don't think the stories would play well with the quick pace of this game though.
