Skubal and the Tigers could not come to an agreement on an arbitration figure and will most likely head to hearings in February with the largest gap of salary figures in recent memory. Skubal, the best starter in baseball, a guy who has won back-to-back Cy Youngs, is the heart of trade rumors nowadays, and is about to head into FA next year projected to earn the largest SP contract in history, just got blatantly disrespected by Detroit. Skubal's side wanted 32 million dollars in his last year of arbitration. The Tigers wanted 19 million. A 13 MILLION DOLLAR DIFFERENCE FOR THE BEST PITCHER IN BASEBALL.
