Cover Athlete for MLB 26
-
who shall it be
-
Its a WBC year so I say Yamamoto and Murakami or Okamoto
-
Early Ridiculous Speculation:
For the past 2 years (24 Vlad Jr, 25 Skenes), the coloring of the year has conincided with the Cover Athlete's team. With the 26 being orange, that would lead to the following nominees:
Orioles: Gunner again? I think not.
Astros: Yordan? Possible, but not likely.
Mets: Soto? My co-favorite.
Giants: LOL!
Tigers: Skubal. My other co-fav. -
@SaveFarris_PSN honestly Soto would be fire
-
I believe in cover jinxes, so no Soto!
Only one of '25's big 3 made the playoffs. The Reds barely did and it was a 'we hardly knew ye' situation..... -
I think either Jose Ramirez or Soto
-
Soto would be cool, not worries about the jinx. Other than Gunner, Elly had a good season, and Skenes had an amazing season.
-
Juan Soto, Acuna, or J-Ram

Good seasons are nice, but its about winning championships, as you know.
Maybe Big Dumper on the cover? Packs are poo anyway, lol. Just did the WS CQ map. Duds galore in the poo packs, lol. -
My guess is Nick Kurtz. However if they continue with the 3 cover players like this year I see Nick Kurtz, Tarik Skubal & Trey Yesavage
-
Mets Mets and Mets players
-
@Rubbaneck34_XBL
The thing with that though is it is way too early to give that to Kurtz or Yesavage, neither has even played a full season yet. They also probably choose the cover athlete months in advance, so Yesavage and Kurtz probably wouldnt have broken out at that point -
Surprised there hasn’t been a Trout, Mookie or Acuna.
