Free Agency Signings

The Pittsburgh Pirates took another step toward being a contender in 2026, agreeing to terms with All-Star first baseman/outfielder Ryan O'Hearn on a two-year, $29 million deal, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Tuesday.
What I find interesting is that this is supposedly the first multi-year free agent signing for the Pirates since Dec 2016!!!

Maybe he'll help them win one extra game.As a sports fan of all 9 NY teams, I would’ve liked the Mets to have won one extra game every time they needed it to make the playoffs.

The main postI hate to be the bearer of bad news but almost nobody scrolls back up to the first message in a thread that they have already read. It's useful as a repository of all of the info but otherwise I am guessing most people are missing the edits you make to it.
I made the same mistake with the Dustin May signing for the Cardinals.

REJOICE ANGELS FANS. ANTHONY RENDON HAS AGREED TO RESTRUCTURE HIS CONTRACT AND TO DEPART FROM THE TEAM.
Yeah you guys also signed Kirby Yates. How anticlimactic. -
I would have to say that was a good signing as long as he is not our ace. Back end of the rotation 3-5, solid, top of rotation, bad.
