Just how Good were today's Extreme Rewards?

I can understand why they are so hard to get. Clemens becomes the #1 Starting Pitcher. Elly becomes the #1 position player and Buxton becomes the #3 position player. It appears that we should want all of our favorites to get Milestone cards. Half of each list are milestone cards

Take this with a grain of salt:
Roger Clemens is like batting practice online no matter what card you throw. He's predictable and easy to track and doesn't have great stuff.
Byron Buxton has a meh swing. It's not universally liked or hated. It's 50/50.
Elly De La Cruz is the only really good reward here, but with the amount of shortstop options there isn't really a need.
As for Kenley Jansen and Carlos Santana, both are really good, but there are so many other cards and not many people want to run through a DQ where the only guaranteed chance is on GOAT difficulty. -

I can't stand the 99 Clemens from the LS collection, he's always getting lit up. As far as Jansen he's intriguing but the Awards Gossage has been lights out for me,, Elly is the only one I'd even think about going for but it's not worth my time since I have Awards Tatis and he's been a monster. Don't need another SH catcher, Biz is still ranked in the top 5 meta catchers he rakes and slows the running game down. If want a change of pace at catcher then insert Sig Posada or if I want more power from that position insert HOF Gibson. Sorry SDS, shouldn't have oversaturated the 99's.

Now that I'm on this topic, let's go over who's better at each position:
Better SPs than Clemens:
Kershaw, Randy, Donaldson, Martinez, Halladay, Mussina, Verlander, Sabathia, Wheeler,
Better CFs than Buxton:
Beltran, Trout, Griffey Jr., McCutchen, Mantle, Cain, Willie Mays, Bernie Williams, Cedric Mullins
Other SS Options:
Derek Jeter, Jimmy Rollins, Tatis Jr., Betts, Correa, Seager, Desmond, Konnor Griffin, Jesus Made, Ozzie Smith, Wagner, Wetherholt, Adames -
Lmao Jesus Christ

Tatis Jr. Has better defense at an important position. I just feel the leaning into the SH meta is a bit exhausting, especially when you have a Brian Reynolds 99. Sorry, I don't really like that card IMHO. He shouldn't have a meta card anyways.

I feel like I need to put a caveat at the bottom of these posts. Obviously since it is a program ranking these players it is simply looking at the attribute numbers. Pitch Mix, Delivery, Swing, Height, whether or not the batter is a switch hitter are things that we all realize go into the decision on who to use but are, in my opinion, impossible to quantify in a meaningful manner that would be universally relevant. Not to mention that people have different experiences with different players.
The other obvious thing the program can't do is judge their rating differently for offline vs online play. The CPU obviously would not tee off against Clemens like online players might.

Good point, didn't take that into account. But online Clemens is no bueno!

The only one to me that is a must have is Elly which makes them all must haves lol. But just go with it

thank you.

@TheBigPapa55_PSN
Not Sabathia, not Halladay, not Wheeler, not Mussina, not Kershaw, and about equal to Martinez. IDK why everyone is dogging on Roger, he has a great pitch mix and amazing attributes -
@Talkingben9558_XBL
On higher difficulties yes, but not everybody plays on Legend. -
@TheBigPapa55_PSN
I havent been on legend in 2 months, this is my experience on HOF
